Is Phantasy Star Online 1 and 2 fun offline?

yea, I've only played it offline, you pretty much have to to build up your character before going online. It's fun.
 
I liked it a lot offline, but I found myself having to play the areas multiple times to level enough to move on.

I didnt know that it came with 2 months free. Its still not worth buying a gc modem.
 
It was fun, but playing offline by yourself might get boring. If your playing multi-player then It'd be great. Cause their's no story pretty much, so the entire game is you fighting, leveling up, and getting good items.
 
I enjoyed the single player aspects, as Im a phatasy star fan. However it could be a little boring, as the depth of the storyline is not as deep with it having the online influence. But if you can split screen mutli this, then its not bad. I played it offline for a bit with 3 friends.

played it around 2 hours so far and its ok offline, have no plans on taking it online


its got to be one of the biggest rip offs online. 50 for a modem just for 1 game ... and you thought FF 11 was bad
 
this is "phantasy star online" not "phantasy star offline"

this game was meant to be played online and thats where you will find the most fun.

broadband adapter 34.99 + pso 29.99 = $65 + taxes (rounded)
and the first month is free
 
I love it offline.

It is addicting as hell, either way you play it.

I have a feeling, that the BBA's, will be as expensive as the DC's in about 3 years.

Anyways, the game is awesome, if you aren't looking for an epic storyline. It's all gameplay.
 
To me, after I completed all the quests and unlocked all the areas, offline was only fun when I had multiple players to join me. Single player was boring to me.

If you don't have any other friends to play with offline, then you should definately hop online with this game. Plus sometimes the online seasonal events and quests can be pretty fun.
 
is it just me or is single player VERY Hard i have played it around 3 hours now only got though forest 1 and forest 2 and then the dragon comes down and kicks my ass all over the place


will say this fun game for the 3 hours i played so far but its hard


I got another question if you dont go online can you sell the Game as like new (meaning who buys it used can go online)
