Is RARE a big waste of money for Microsoft?

It will be a sad day when Rare stops making video games.

They have brought old school Nintendo back to a hardcore gaming console. I love it.
So, are you admitting that you found those parodies to be dated, as well? If so, why did you attribute the problem of being "dated" specifically to the remake?

PS, A Clockwork Orange is one of my favorite movies, and if you somehow didn't notice the Aliens parody in the game, then you probably didn't beat it. I didn't have to "look up" anything. Have you just not seen those movies?

I guess if ignorance of famous movie scenes allows you to not recognize parodies of them, which means that you won't even be aware of how "dated" they are, then, uh, good for you I guess.
I found the parodies to be sufficient a first time. To remake a game where the storytelling relies heavily on jokes is probably not a good idea in the first place.

I've played the game through many times. I've recognized the parodies.

But really, we're getting away from my point, which you've slowly evaded. The only thing updated were the graphics. Bad Fur Day's multiplayer was more accessible than L&R's. The jokes, funny as they were the first go, depreciated over time. The gameplay had legitimate control issues that could have easily been addressed in 2001. I'm talking about tuning up the camera and tightening general character movements. Why is lava surfing more frustrating than it is fun?

I wouldn't write all of this if I didn't like Rare at one point. I write this as someone who is concerned that one of his once-favorite companies has lost sight of what is fun.

Personally I'd like to see a new Blast Corps for XBLA or RC Pro Am. For full retail titles I want to see something new.
Thing is, RARE's games don't really seem to take that long to develop,
Rare has always been notorious for blowing deadlines and taking tons of extra time to finish games.
Hope Rare have good title at E3 this month.

Actually, I think there is a rumor floating around about a new Jet Force Gemini. (I'd be down for this)
And when they mate do they show them literally fucking? I highly doubt that. How about when you beat them to death with a shovel, is there blood that comes out? You can see my point in this I hope.
Somebody's sarcasm detector needs a new battery. ;)
what i don't understand is why doesn't microsoft come out with 007: Goldeneye for xbla, i would buy it and play it online alot, does nintendo have the rights to it or something? i heard some talk about it awhile back but nothing since.
Because Nintendo still owns a part of the property and EA now owns the Bond license. There are about a half dozen companies bickering over the game and can't come to agreeable terms money-wise. It's not going to happen.
