It looks to be in mint condition, and for $39.99 I am wondering if that is a good price. I found it at Gamestop. But is the price too high?

If you're talking about GC, you can buy it for that much new...
 
The Fry's in Anaheim has a few copies of RE3 GC for $34.99 if you're willing to drive a bit or in the area. I was there yesterday.

Really! I go there quite a bit, did they have Resident Evil 2 also? I might just go get it from there.
 
I was also deciding about getting it at my local Gamestop last week and got it anyways because I needed this to complete my RE Gamecube collection.

I'm not sure if they have RE2, I didn't look for it. I just know I glanced at a small stack of RE3.

It seems ridiculous that a straight port of a five-year-old game is still retailing for its release price so long after its GCN release. I'd wait for a price drop if you have that kind of will power.
 
i just picked up resident evil 3 for gcn from gamerush for $12. i would definitely try them. the original price for it at gamerush is $15, but a friend and i both wanted one game so i just gave him some of my money and had him bring both games up to the counter, since they have the "buy one used game get another 50% off" deal. definitely an effective money saving strategy.
 
Over the past few weeks I have seen this at just about every Gamestop I've been to. Before the reprint I hadn't seen it at any Gamestops at all.

By the way, Gameexpress.com is selling it NEW for $23.99 plus shipping.
