Now it all becomes clear. I wondered why the released the 360 Elite in April. Not later in the year. It's opartially for stock reasons. If it's ture that this month MS suppliears will start maufacturing 65 nm chips, and in the Fall they will become available in new stock of 360's, then MS will have to move all that old stock out the door.

The elite is not just a tool to compete with the PS3 but it's also a way to slash their old inventory of parts so they can get rid of the 90 nm, buggy chips.

Now, I plan on getting a 360 ion about 4-6 months. Probably about the time when the 65 nm chips will be coming out. But how will I know if I got a 65 nm chip. Especialy if I order online and have my 360 delivered. It's a crap shoot.
You may never know, unless you crack open the case and look at the size of the chip.

I'm guessing that when the HDMI & 120GB drive roll into the Premium system, they may have the 65nm chips included with it.
You'd have to wait until you knew for sure the old models were phased out, and even then, it's still a crap shoot, as you might get something they found in the back of the warehouse.
I would hope there would be soemthing on the box. Lot number, production date, anything that would tell you if it was a 90 or 65 nm.

there should be. you should be able to tell by serial/lot number

Strell, you lucky fuck. I wish our power would go out. Well, rather on this side of the city, not at home.

I'm just saying if you order it online, yea, you can tell when it gets to your house, but if you get one they find in the warehouse with the old chips, what a hassle to ship it back and hopefully get one with the new chips.

I'd just buy it in store.

Two people I was IMing just got offline.

I consider this a smoting, and flex in my victory.

*hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!*

Red Wings suck!

I got one Wings player named Ward pissed off enough to try and hit me with his hockey stick when I was younger at an Avs game. :D
Hey I'd try to kill a talking horse for the bounty money too.
Lord knows people from Detroit need the money. :D

It's all I have. Sad I know.
Lord knows people from Detroit need the money. :D
I don't think they need a couple of pennies that badly.
Thanks for shipping the game out so quickly, Shrike.
No problemo. One less item hanging around my house. :D
No, THIS is a lion.

OH SHI- IT'S A LION, GET IN THE fuckING CAR
Whaaaa! Run awaaaaay!!!

I know it's a 4-chan meme, but what the fuck is that from? (someone was referencing a movie the other day?)

I leave for a day and we're already on a new OTT? Not cool!

Didn't get a chance to get Cubivore on account of my being broke, but I made up for it with a ($15 cheaper) copy of Civ III Complete. Of course, Paper Mario looks like it's going to keep me occupied for a while too. ;)

On a less cheery note...fuck Dell. I have an Inspiron 6000 laptop. I'm guessing we're all familiar with the massive recall; I got my replacement last August. I get home from college, plug in my computer...and the front panel starts doing this:

Fatal%20batt%20failure.gif

After half an hour on the phone, I was able to figure out what that meant. As it turns out, that flashing orange light means that the battery is permanently dead...after eight fucking months. And conveniently enough, the three year coverage plan I have doesn't cover the fucking battery. Since I use the thing primarily in my dorm room, the lack of a functioning battery isn't too big of a deal, but I'm going to need to replace it at some point over the summer and it's going to cost upwards of $100 to do so. :bomb:
Go (insert any team besides Detroit Redwings)!
Are the Carolina Hurricanes in it this year? I knew Erik Cole in college... so my default would be to root for them or the Penguins.

I think it's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but I dunno.

And Shrike- It's fukken Detroit. A couple of pennies is a goldmine. :D

Neither the 'Canes nor the Penguins are in the playoffs. Root for the Wings. ;)

Battery warranty is a year, regardless of warranty on the system. So, if you purchased less than a year ago, politely tell them to STFU and send you a replacement battery for your system.
$90 shipped is a little bit better.
He shouldn't have to pay for it. It should still be under warranty.

Why can't we stop here?! WHAT COUNTRY IS THIS

ah nothing is working out today.

I just broke the leg on my keyboard.
The kitchen manager won't be in until Thursday at Olive Garden. So I have no idea if I have a job or not.
I called Penn station to schedule an interview the manager was out for the day.
I rolled my ankle working in the garden.

I received my new credit card that today. The one that I was transferring balances over to for 0% for 10 months. Well I talked ot someone on the phone before hand, and they said my balances would transfer over. I received the card today, and the limit is a lot less then the balances I was trying to transfer. So they lied to me, and knocked down my credit card score. Thanks assholes. I called them they said thats the way it is. So I closed my account.

Way to take advantage of a site I never knew existed. I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the system itself is going on two years old. I guess the replacement battery didn't come with an extension of the warranty coverage of the battery - which, considering the circumstances of the recall, seems like complete bullshit to me.

I wonder if they'd let me have my old, explosion-prone battery back? I mean, if it worked better... :whistle2:k

Oh holy shit. I nominate Bateman (Maklershed) as the most entertaining CAG evur. My boss is wondering why the fuck I'm laughing so hard.

The site that Sub pointed out, never heard of it, and I've dealt with a few 3rd party batteries before. You get what you pay for. I'd suggest either getting one from OnCore PowerSystems (www.oncorepower.com) or Fedco Electronics (http://www.fedcoelectronics.com/). OnCore and Fedco batteries last for 12 months' time under warranty. I use Fedco batteries for the old HP laptops I have here at my work, and I just switched out the work laptop I use with an OnCore battery.

I found out about the one year battery warranty on my Dell the hard way, when I had a battery issue. I ended up getting a replacement through the exchange program, so I took care of that issue.

I'd recommend looking at OnCore or Fedco batteries. The OnCore battery I purchased was on Buy.com and included free shipping.
Zombie show for the fucking win.
I hear that. It has potential to be the best show ever. I dont like the idea of comedic undertones though. I want zombie shit to be serious and somewhat scary (hence why I havent watch Shawn of the Dead yet).

Aw, Shaun of the Dead was awesome. The point was that it didn't take itself seriously, and with the addition of the British humour, it was hilarious.

Plus they used an illegal lever-action rifle! :O

I can understand what your saying. But as long at the comedic undertone's are good then it can work out. like Shawn of the dead. Its really good flick IMO of course.

Does anyone think 28 Weeks Later will be any good? looks like there will be some paramilitary action, which makes me moist, but I worry it would be really badly done. :/

I'm pumped for it but I'm afraid it wont be as good as the first one. It seems to have nothing to do with the first one at all except for the fact that it takes place in England. Plus I'm not sure if I'll be able to adjust to seeing Stringer Bell in that environment. But I'm still excited none the less and I'll see it in the theater.
