EDIT : Original post deleted in light of some ***holes that can't read and just rip me for no reason, I used to say how great the community here was but now that’s faltering....
I understand you, Avid. It sounds like neither are going to be worth it for you until the games get really cheap. You'll have enough time between now and then to decide which one better suites your needs.
If it requires that much deliberation I think it's safe to say you're better off waiting until something comes along that has more immediate appeal. It's either desirable or not. That should take much effort to determine for yourself. Beyond that it is solely a matter of money. If spending that much cause you great anxiety you should leave it be.
Well given your first comment about the graphics "sucking" on the GBA I am assuming you havent been gaming for to long.

I stopped reading after that first line. That told me enough to formulate a response. Here it is:
1) Lock yourself in the basement with a TV (not hooked up to cable, and no bunny ears either) and an NES, and 50 games.
2) Play those games until you grasp that good graphics are not important to truly excellent games
3) If #2 fails to happen, take up knitting as a hobby
Ds cost $150, but the games cost $50 each, and most of them rn't gonna come out until March 1st 2005. Sony still isn't sure how much they're gonna sell psp for. The only thing I like about psp is that it's gonna have nba street on it.

It's starting to look like games might be slightly cheaper than GBA games, because the production costs for the digital camera memory card-like "Game Paks" is much less (as evidenced by the fact that you are getting a free one with your DS).
I never and I mean NEVER said that the GBA graphsic sucked, I said, that I always thought the graphics sucked PRE-GBA like gameboy, gameboycolor you know, the GBA is fine, I have no problem with those graphics.

Interesting that your original post was edited today, just prior to this one? Hmm. Best get Columbo on this one.

Ha Peter Falk is great...I love the line when he's getting ready to interview somebody. "Excuse but if I could just borrow a minute of your time" or something to that effect every single time.
I'm going to wait until i actually hold one for myself, every video i have seen of someone playing the system, it was mounted onto something or on a table, i want to see someone try to hold this thing and use the stylus at the same time in a situation where a handheld would be useful like a car or something, i have no need for one if i cannot use it as a true handheld.
Quit acting like what someone says on a forum actually matters to you in your life.
I could care less what people say about me here or on any other forum. You need to stop.
Dont edit posts, dont worry about it. Just re ask the question you wanted answered.
We cannot answer your question for you. All we are going to do is give our own opinions on the matter based on OUR viewpoints.
You yourself then take those new viewpoints apply them to what you know about yourself and make a decision. Its that simple.
So quit rambling on about what you did or didnt say. If you did or do think GBA graphics suck then so what. They arent that great to be honest with you. BUT a lot of people appreciate them or enjoy them nonetheless. And so can you.
Give us more details or take what people ahve already said and apply it.

Heres a link to a japan add and go down farther in the link to get still sof someone actuyally holding it with one hand and using a stylus with the other.
Really now what is the point, WTF is the point, just lock or close the thread it is useless now and I dont even know why anyone cares! Geez!!!
What you should have done was clarify, and say something like "I meant to say XXXXX" instead of going "I NEVER SAID THAT" and simultaneously editing the original post to support your argument. That, sir, is insulting.
About your dislike for GB/GBC graphics... did you own an NES at any point or did you join the game in the 16 bit era? If you had an NES I don't see how you could pass over on the GB/GBC in terms of graphics. There were a lot of great games to be had for the ol' doorstop.
