I'm not sure if it's the cart or what, but whenever I'm in a dungeon, it slows down quite frequently...it even harms the gameplay.
yes. it hapens frequently when there are a lot of enemies on screen. you just get used to it though...
It wasn't even this bad on the NES, was it? :?

Yes it was. Though I can't compare, I remember terrible slowdown on the NES.

Shows you that they really put a lot of work into that title.

I thought so, but I was a SMS boy and never played the original and I'm not buying the classic till I can get it for $10

yeah there is slow down on the gamecube old zelda games too.

it really ruins the game.

glad i resold it .

they need to do a little update imo to fix those problems and upgrade the nes quality to snes quality liek they did with FF1 for ps1.
(finally)

I think Nintendo was going for a genuine NES experience on a portable system. Thus, they left the slowdown in there. Upgrading everything takes out the genuineness (?) of the experience...
This is also true of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Mega Man 2 has all the beloved slow down that you experienced on the NES cart.
so true

Youngsters can't appreciate this (apparently). But those of us who grew up playing these games for hours on end as youths, using consoles that didn't have the capability of keeping up with the action, these perfect replications (which had to be planned for - meaning the slowdown was purposely put in) are simply awesome. I don't know a person who has played the NES Zelda on the GBA and not been exstatic about the slowdown.

My Famicom Mini Zelda no Densetsu has a ton of slowdown.

Its not even a port, itas an emulation, so it thinks the GBA is a Famicom (or NES) and the gamespeed will be affected, giving the game all of the slowdown that brings back the nostalgia.

Yeah, it's definitely part of the original and GCN version. I don't mind it, it helps when you are trying to dodge attacks in the dark world.

it ruins the game for me.

Just like the slow loading during old FF games that wasnt there on the old snes games thx to cd's !!

lol the funny thing is if it didnt have the slowdown there would probably be even more complaining because they were going for the authentic experince
