Is the vertical stand for the PStwo still coming out in NA or Japan even?

The press release for the PStwo shows the vertical stand for the system and stated a release date of Nov. 1st for it in North America. However, I don't see it up for pre-order at EBgames.com or Gamestop.com. Do any of the online import shops have it up for pre-order?

Or has the stand been delayed or even scrapped?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the PStwo toploading? Why would you want a vertical stand, if there is one? If you are hurtin for space with the PStwo you need to get rid of some stuff

Yes, it is "top-loading" but you can still stand it vertically.

Why one would want it vertical:

1) It looks cooler
2) More practical for some set-ups
3) The Logitech cordless controller would be a pain in the ass to have if you have the PSTwo horizontal.

I bought the new PS2 today. You can almost fit it in your pocket. A vertical stand would serve no purpose unless you live in a shoebox....

Did you see the pic from ign? The entire thing is thrown off kilter by the receiver. I won't spend extra money on it, but of course they don't pack it in with the console to make money....
