By amazing talents.. http://www.google.com

I learned that A. Swap Magic can be used to play PS2 imports on your PS3
B. Regular light guns will not work on LCDs, but certain newer light guns specifically made for LCDs will work fine.

No to imports, and I think no to lightgun games, b/c they just don't work at all on LCD HDTVs.

Ironically, your attempt to berate the OP for posting this question vis-a-vis the simplicity of google, has actually bolstered the reason why he'd post here. Swap Magic won't work on PS3. YAY GOOGLE!

...well, then, aren't you in luck? (or royally screwed depending on what you paid for the import)

EDIT: Cornfed, based on your link, I saw precisely one hit saying Swap Magic would work, but with the caveat that the entire top casing on the PS3 had to be removed. I suppose that makes you *somewhat* right, but just barely (and in an absurd way - I'd like to be able to play earlier imports, but I'm not taking apart my PS3 to do so).

Yeah... from what I've read to do the swap you have to somehow "drop" the disc in from above with the casing off... All I can imagine is the cd flying out and cutting my head off. Possible decapitation.... no thanks.

Any update to this? I use swap magic on my PS2 by installing a modded the case, but I may get a PS3 and would love to just use one system to play my beloved WRC series (euros) as well as my domestics and PS3 stuff.
