i ordered vol 2, 3 and 4 off fye.... VOL 1 i picked up off best buy years ago had a cardbox box around the dvds... These dvds they sent me are just sealed in a plastic case with a piece of cardboard glued to the front of the plastic cases (no boxes)

Are these bootlegs or is this is how they are selling these now
 
I think that may just be how they're re-releasing them.

I picked up seasons two and four from Walmart over the summer in the old, 4-cases-in-a-box style of packaging, but a few weeks later, they had restocked, and I picked up seasons one and three in a manner similar to what you're describing. Am I correct in assuming that you got clear, standard-sized DVD cases?

I'm not near my sets to confirm UPC codes or anything, but I think you're in the clear... Especially since you ordered from a reputable retailer. I hope that helps. I'll be able to check for UPCs or whatever later, if that'll help.
 
Fox does have them released differently. Similarly to how the new volume of American Dad was released. See Through Box

yea clear dvd box with little spindles holding the dvds (like when there used to be 2 games in the ps2 cases

its just one plastic box with the spindle thingie holding the 4 dvds
 
I think that's how Fox is releasing them now.

I got vol 1 off of Goozex and ordered vol 2, 3, and 4 from Amazon during some promo they had. Vol 1 is the big box with 4 separate DVD slim cases. The order Amazon was different, vol 2 and 4 were the big box with slim cases but vol 3 ended up being a single DVD case (though a bit thicker than normal) with all 4 discs.

I had to return vol 4 because it was damage during transit and the replacement I received was the DVD case version. So I don't think you got bootlegs... it's just Fox cheaping out on the packaging.
