Is this a good deal for these snes games
Final Fight Guy, Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Super Mario Kart, Mario Alls Stars. A guy is selling all 5 for $220.
If they're complete in box mint, then hell yes. If they are cart only, fuck no.

actually CIB would be a lot more looked up final fight guy and its worth around $130 cart and $250 CIB

$220 is not too bad, cart only they add up to like $250 though you can get some of the other games cheaper. I would say depends on condition and how badly you want them. Maybe try to get him under $200

Considering Final Fight Guy is worth ~$180 right now, I'd say that's a decent deal. I'm kind of pissed because I found Final Fight Guy in 2008 at a flea market and I think I sold it for $80. Who knew the market for SNES games was going to explode in five years?

I'm pretty torn on this. It breaks down as each game costing $44, which is excellent for final fight but atrocious for the others.

My biggest problem is I live in the Chicago area. Despite the size of the city and the amount of suburb cities and towns around it, there is damn near NOWHERE to get a deal on a retro game around me. There are very, very, very few retro game stores (only one actually in the city and its quite small) and all of them use eBay for pricing. I have seen employees looking up prices on eBay in every single retro store in or near the city.

Don't even bring up thrift or pawn. Looking for retro games in those places around here is like going to Toys R Us in hopes of finding porn. I can probably count the amount of times I've seen any sort of games in thrift/pawn stores on my fingers and toes, and virtually every time (even at places like goodwill) it's something like cart only Mario/Duck Hunt for $29.99 (not an exaggeration). In a recent stop at the Joliet IL goodwill, I found a copy of a Madden genesis game in the glass case, locked up and priced at $50. And it's even rare to find these horrible deals.

Flea markets are impossible for me because I work weekends, and even if I didn't I would have to wake up at 3 am to beat traffic as well as get there before the resellers.

Ive posted the list of games I want to buy here on CAG. So far, it's been a horrible failure. I settled on a grand total of two deals with people. And the stuff I bought from them hasn't even arrived after I paid early last week.

My main goal is to find deals cheaper than ebay, as thats how much everything around here is anyway. So basically I have a specific list of retro games I want to get to make up my library. In this particular deal, everything is on that list with the exception of FFG. FFG is the game I want least in this lot, but its presence is what makes this a decent deal.

I'm really not sure what to do here. I'm probably gonna pass and just hope to someday find Super Metroid and Mario RPG for less than $40 each.

I find tons of stuff in the Chicago area at thrifts and pawn shops. TONS. Not to mention there are two game stores in the city plus the exchange locations.

Not to mention I find tons of stuff below Ebay at the local game stores.

That make no sense. I mean if you sell Final Fight Guy you get at least $150 in profit. Getting the other 4 games for $70 is heck of a deal.

Think about it this way. Buy em, sell Final Fight for $180, and the other carts would of only cost $10 each. And last time I looked for Mario RPG's cost (which was before the Wii came out so iunno how it is now) I'd say $10 is a good price for Mario RPG alone.

SMRPG and Super Metroid alone for $70 is a damn good deal.

I can see where the OP is coming from, say you go to flip your Final Fight Guy online and get scammed. Personally I'd try breaking the other titles off from the big ticket item and see if a better deal could be had that way.

I think this is what I'm gonna try to do.

I guess it's just luck of the draw with pawn shops. What two game stores are you talking about? The only one I know of is People Play Games.
It's a fair deal. You could expect to get that price with patience on eBay.
You don't even really need patience. Final Fight Guy is selling at auction for $176. After fees and shipping that is still ~$150. Getting the other four for $75 is a steal.

I meant that you could buy them for that price on eBay with some patience.
