Is this bait and switch? Bowling.com

Shipping is free. The $4.95 is for packaging. They do not charge you anything to get it in the mail, but they are charging you to have it put in a box to mail to you.

It's not bait & switch at all.

Here's Bait & Switch:

They advertise the Ricky II for $30, then after you placed your order they E-mail you saying: "We don't have the Ricky II anymore, but we do have the Lucy IV for $50, would you like that instead?"

B&S = getting you there for one thing (Bait) and then trying to get you to spend more on something else instead (switch). It doesn't really happen online, since you can always click the X and go to Amazon instead. B&M stores used to do it figuring once you're there, you're bound to buy something.

The $5 they charge is per order, you could buy 20 shoes from them and they'll only charge you $5 to package them. Not too bad. Kudos to them being upfront about it. I didn't have to check out with a valid CC in order to find the info out, just clicked on the "free shipping" bubble on any page.
