Is this too good to be true?

yes, it's a boot. 99% of the time if an auction doesn't specifically say its NOT a boot, then its a boot.

Not to mention they have a store of like priced items - no way they can offer that many legit selections at fractions of the price

Damn, well can anyone tell me if this CD is good enough to buy? The retail is $25.

And it has 82 tracks, though I suspect many are short sound clips.

I would buy "Zelda: The Music" instead. I think that's what it is called. My friend has it, and it's pretty cool. It has music and themes from every single Zelda game. You wouldn't need anything else...

It likely is a bootleg. Here is a site with a reference on bootlegs. It includes a list of sellers on ebay known to sell bootlegs. It really sucks that these soundtracks (legit copies) are so expensive.

Just to point out, many people don't know what they are selling are bootlegs. CD's aren't like video games, many of them look just as good, if not better, than official versions. If you go to asian malls in toronto (or I assume any area with a large asian population) you'd realize that there's no way to tell, quality wise, what's a bootleg and what isn't. Everanime and SM both produce extremely high quality bootleg cd's.

Basically, my point is this guy could be very reputable and trustworthy, he just may not know what he has.
if he has 40k feedback, hes gotta know that they are bootlegs
I dunno, I bought them for almost a year before I realized it. In toronto there was no choice, you buy ever anime, sm etc. or you didn't buy it. There was nothing to compare it to, and the quality of the packaging looked legit.
