Is trading games for gift cards allowed?

Is trading games for gift cards or promo cards allowed, and vice versa?

Yes. I have traded games for things like iTunes gift cards, Hot Topic gift cards, Best Buy gift cards, etc. It's totally allowed.

Yeah, why wouldn't it be allowed? I often trade stuff for amazon gift codes to avoid having to use paypal
