Issues with ipod classic in windows vista 64-bit

I just upgraded to a 64-bit os and now my ipod doesn't come up when i plug it in. I have 64-bit itunes and all of the rest. It used to work perfectly, but now its buggy as hell. Oh man, i don't want to have to get a zune, lol.

I had a similar problem. I'm not sure how I resolved it... Just kind of kept unplugging it, reseting Itunes and replugging ect.

That didn't help any and was just lame. I run a 64-bit OS and don't encounter any problems with Itunes/Ipod. Actually, having switched over has actually helped me with Itunes/Ipod.

Why run a 64-bit OS? You have 8 gigs of RAM? I tried both XP 64-bit and Vista 64-bit and the incompatibility with hardware outweighed any potential benefits (of which there were none).
