Shouldn't be too long from now, there was a demo on last month's OXM, I dunno why there's not a marketplace demo yet.. maybe it would've cut into OXM's profits? Hopefully sometime soon, I wanna play this one.

pretty cool. might have to order it from EB. any one knows how the COD2 faceplate from Best buy looks like?? if it's cool. i just might have to go & buy it, then retune the game & keep the face plate. ( already have 2 copy's of COD2, one mine & other one my son )

too many flames on that faceplate. It'd look a whole lot better on a black Xbox360.

Not worth preordering a game that could be good or suck really bad =)
 
I wish you could just pre-order and get the faceplate... Then when I get my paws on it I could change it to another game...
 
I did too, took the girl in video games a while to find them she had no idea where to look. After about 10 minutes she came up front carrying about 8 little brown boxes. She said another employee pointed them out in the music overstock area, otherwise she wouldn't have found them.

Of course there were only two copies of CoD2 on the shelf when I picked mine up.

My Best Buy had a Seperate Price Tag for the Faceplates, selling them Alone for 19.99 standard Faceplate Price i think. Dunno since ive never bought one.

Ive always wanted to play Call of Duty 2 on 360 anyway, so i went ahead and bought it and got the faceplate for free. The game is so far best FPS on 360 right? thats the rumor.

No, I meant I bought it and got it with COD2. The faceplate wouldnt scan, they just handed it to me, so I can return the game since I already have it. Yes im a devil customer :evil:

Yeah less than $30 would be my guess. The Zero Hour faceplate goes for about $75+, the E3 2005 one goes for about $200, and the PGR3 one goes for about $120. The Zero Hour and E3 had runs of 3,000 supposedly, and I would guess the CoD2 was probably in the range of 6,000 (930+ Best Buys minimum 6 per store=5,580).

Was the PGR3 faceplate available via pre-order with the game at certain stores or was it given out exlusively to members of the gaming industry?
 
well both my gamestop and eb local stores weren't giving the faceplates away with the outfit and full auto. So I guess if you want the faceplates you will need to do it online only. Any one else able to confirm this?
 
I just reilized what a great idea accessorizing consoles really is. Game stores need pre-orders to survive, and offering face plates will lead to more preorders, plus they look cool on systems.

Bravo microsoft, sony and nintendo, you better be planning something similar to help game stores also.
 
The Best Buy Call of Duty 2 faceplate don't fit too good. ;(

I contacted ebgames.com via email and got a response that he thought they would be available in store also. I know there is a sku for them in the system at work, and they were listed on our pre-order promo sheet. So I'm guessing that they will be available through the b&m stores too.

I haven't checked on The Outfit one yet. I need to stop by one of the GameStops and see if they know.

I called eb yesterday, and he said he looked at his updated sheet, and no bonus with the pre order on full auto...
