I know, and I am tired of it. That is why in the past couple of days, I have used the delete button more than I have probably ever.
Trying to help fix things around here( exp. crapping in trade topics)
That's probably the best you can do. If you can get everything to sit fairly normal, I think people would start to catch on that some stuff is just unacceptable.
that is what I am hoping to do. Flaming noobs is fine when they outright deserve it, but just because their first post is a trade topic, does not mean that they should be flamed.
Hell you know it is bad when I am even sick of Starmask being flamed. I know he is really annoying, but he cannot have a topic without being flamed
Yeah.. you never know would could become a valuable poster.. even in a couple months people can mature dramatically If you chase them off to quickly, you may never get to see the other side of them.
Maybe some kid fresh of Gamefaqs will be rude and silly for a while, but after a little dose of maturity, they could be one of the greatest deal contributors or scribes of some of the most thought-provoking posts ever... but if you chase them off prematurely, you'll never get to find out.
Thing about the flaming lately, is that it's just outright mean. I know the definition of flaming varies wildly by user, but I think I've very rarely outright "flamed" anyone. To me flaming is an outright indictment or cruel statement, not a funny tease or jab. Anyway, when it was funny or when there was a sense of humor involved, a good-natured barb never hurt anybody, but the swing lately seems to be just outright serious and intentionally hurtful.
exactly. A good Zing did not bother me, but the stuff now seems so mean that it has to stop
