Its been leaked! Kanye's latest album "Graduation" is on the interwebz.

It's sad that the name Mindless Self Indulgence is already taken, because Kanye could wear that moniker like a snug, knitted sweater.

Okay, we got it! You don't like Kanye west! No need to post that you don't like him or his music twice on the same page.
It's not that good as the first two....
Agreed. As I was conversing with my brother, we talked about the CD as if it were the same as making toast. We came to the conclusion that Kanye could have used a toaster to make some toast, but instead used a microwave. Some of the tracks on this CD are just plain terrible. Some are really good though!
people listen to rap? ;p
I love hip-hop.

That's why I can't stand Kanye's cookie-cut music.
Who the fuck cares about this stupid ass idiot... He probably, Leaked it himself.
I wish you could see the impressed look on my face.

On topic, the album was pretty bad, especially when compared to the first two.
For some reason I highly doubt Brak's ever listened to Kanye beyond Gold Digger and Jesus Walks.
Nope.

I downloaded his first two, to see what all the fuss was.

I've only heard one song from his recent album, so far. I don't think I'll be giving it a chance, though.

Well if you really did listen to his first two records I don't understand why you'd call him self-indulgent and cookie cutter. He's not talking about how much cash he has or rims, bitches, blunts, and 40's. Well, except for one song. Sure he's full of himself in interviews and incidents at the Grammy's etc. but that doesn't carry over to his music.

While he's technically capable of making competent beats, they're no where near as groundbreaking as he thinks they are, and others make them out to be.

His rhymes grow trite, as he repeats himself from song to song, album to album, and they're just mindless. And I think his rhymes are self-indulgent because he solely rhymes about himself. Granted, a lot of emcees do that... but, in his case, it's just excessive, non-introverted and ridiculously superficial.

And there's this just overall stink air of arrogance where he thinks more of his music than he should. For instance, in an interview, he was asked what the meaning of "Diamonds From Sierra Leone" was. His answer described the "Blood Diamond" strife in Africa... but, if you look at the lyrics, it's him talking about how he's the shit.

Oh. And his voice sucks.

Edit:

I'm not saying he's terrible; I'm saying he's the quintessential commercial, radio friendly hip-hop, and the definition of mediocrity.

Screw all the haters, I think this album is great. Definitely better than Late Registration. 50 Cent's album also leaked yesterday.

I swear, this guy just doesn't know when to quit...oh wait a sec, moronic sheeple keep buying his tripe. The only (c)rap black hole (he ain't no god damn star, thats for sure) worse than him is Puffy or what the fuck ever hes calling himself this year.

*goes off to listen to some Jedi Mind Tricks*
. 50 Cent's album also leaked yesterday.
It can't be worst then his last outting... or can it?

Anyways I was interested in just buying Kanye's new album to shut 50 up. But I don't even know if It's worth it, especially considering he's still getting my money.

The first album Kanye put out was a classic, his sophomore was garbage with the exception of two or three songs.

50 Cent is, by far, one of the worst rappers in the music industry.

This album is pure trash, not worth the MBs it took on my HDD.

It's terrible to see him lose it so early in his carrer, I really liked the first two albums; I guess my taste in music has just matured since 2004.

I listened to 50 cent's album also, it similar to Kanye's which means it's not as good as previous albums. fuck it when is the new Wu-Tang album coming out!?

It's not a bad album...........

and Im not suprised at all the hate on here, since most people on here hate mainstream rap, and Kanye as a person...........

couldn't agree more with everything you said. kanye should stick to producing.

i'm also starting to hate the tracks he appears on for the albums he produced. case in point, look at "in the mood" on talib kweli's eardrum. kanye's verse on that song is just terrible and uninspired. other examples are him yelling "south" on common's "southside" and his other mediocre verse on common's "they say."

i'm gonna buy 10 copies of graduation on launch day, and then i'm gonna return them a week later. doing my part to artificially inflate kanye's opening day numbers in order to spite fiddy, but no way am I paying any money for a butchered version of one of my favorite daft punk songs.

"And I Wonder" is a hot track, comparible to the best track on Late Registration "Roses".

Also, an interesting part is that in the song "Good Life" with T-Pain, Kanye totally rips a line from 50's "In Da Club'.

It's not horrible, it's decent, so far Pharoah Monch's and Rich Boy's cd's are AOTY.

I wouldn't mind a instrumental version, for a couple of the tracks.

I like how every rhyme on the entire album is a throw-away.

I need you to hurry up now
cause I can't wait much longer
I know I got to be right now
Cause I can't get much wronger
Man I've been waitin' all night now

Let's get lost tonight
You could be my black Kate Moss tonight
Play secretary, I'm the boss tonight

Damn, they don't make 'em like this anymore
I ask, cause I'm not sure
Do anybody make real shit anymore?

That I would even show up to this fake shit
So go ahead go nuts go ape shit
Especially on my best stand on my bape shit

I don't know if you got a man or not,
If you made plans or not
God put me in the plans or not

So how the hell could you front on me?
There's a thousand you's, there's only one of me

You know how long I've been on ya?
Since Prince was on Apollonia
Since OJ had Isotoners
Don't act like I never told ya

True lyricists rhyme words with the same word... 18,000 times in one song.

Hell no, I can't stand his production.

And it's not about Kanye being "mainstream", it's just his music not being good. Hell, I still enjoy Ice Cube and he's a fucking huge movie star now and has sold millions of records.

Don't know what anyone is talking about because I am buying the album when it drops and also to see if 50 cent will make good on his promise of quitting. Anyone that likes Kanye West a little should do the same.

Also this song is got stuck in my head and this video is funny:

I don't think anyone ever confused Kanye with a lyricist.

Kanye took a great song in "Stronger" and made it better - and this is coming from a Daft Punk fan.

Good Life and Flashing Lights have some great moments but the lyrics are tragically bad and make the songs almost unplayable.

The rest of the album was trashed after first listen. Glad I got a pre-listen as I was going to pick this up based on the strength of Stronger and the other artists on the album. Won't be doing that anymore.

Say what you will, but I like how he did this interview:
