It's Official. My parents are now EBay whores!

CAGiversary!
I got them into it and now mom and dad are selling just about everything they lay their grubby hands on. Mom is now a regular at Goodwill buying all kinds of silver crap and old books - which isn't bad by itself but she has no concept of grammar or spelling in her listings. I sold a few older computer games for a few bucks, so dad went to thrift store and "acquired" a box of shitty old disk only computer games for $3.00 and he's pimping them out with free shipping. I tried to tell him that Warcraft II for DOS and Descent aren't going to sell and people will bitch about them not working if they do, but he won't listen (Duh - I'll just refund it). It's great they have a new hobby that doesn't lose them money but I wish they would use common sense. We share the same EBay account so hopefully they don't fuck it up for me.

It was the other way around at my house. My parents had an account and occasionally sold some odds and ends. I was looking over their listings and honestly, they looked like dogshit. I fixed them up, they gave me the account and I've had it since I was 15.:) (17 now)

You can definitely make a lot of extra money selling things through eBay. I've been getting rid of some things that I don't use anymore, and it's amazing how much some things go for.

If your parents are doing stupid things with your eBay account and might screw it up, I'd tell them to get their own. You don't want negative feedback on your account because your dad is selling DOS versions of games that were good 10 years ago.

eBaying shit you don't need for some pocket cash = good.
Buying useless crap at Goodwill for pennies and hoping to get a profit on eBay = waste of time.

Unless it works.

It seems like 90% of the shit she buys goes for less than $10 or doesn't sell at all.

The other 10% goes for large amounts.

hopefully that 10% makes up the difference. :applause:

can't they get a separate account? I'm worried for you, hahaha.
