So I just got back from vacation and I've brought back a gaming monster. My wife is hooked on lumines, so much so that I haven't been able to play a game on the PSP for several days. Am I the only one who is losing a spouse to the PSP, or any game for that matter?

she will eventually play herself silly of lumines, it is bloody addictive, but eventually you wear yourself out on it.

add my GF to that list, lumines has her big time, I sold Untold legends because I never get time to play it from her, she currently takes the PSP to her house.
Didn't you lose your wife to Donkey Konga a while back?
This makes her Donkey Konga addiction look like a craving! She was up until 3 a.m. playing both last night and tonight! The only thing that stopped her tonight was a dead battery! I was supposed to be the first to play the PSP to that point.

the womenfolk seem to like to play one or two games like crazy, but then not much else. Like my friends gf will play Bust a move for Dreamcast and Mario 64 DS mini-games. But thats like it. Doesnt quite make sense to me.

hours i have logged on my psp playing 4 different games: ~10 hours

hours my gf has logged on playing lumines: 90583905309853098530983590894 hours

My girlfriend is addicted to Yoshi's Touch and Go, and won't play anything else.

Girl Love Puzzle games ;)

Like mine little sister she love "Dr. Mario" (don't ask me why) even i have over 200 PS2 games, 50 GC games, 80 GBA games and few DS games but she didn't interest in any. Finnally, I pickup Dr. mario (GBA Nintendo Classic) and she never stop carry GBA SP with her.

I may let she try "METEOS" on DS and hope i can kill her Dr. Mario..........lol ;)

My GF is addicted to Yoshi Touch N Go, Zoo Keeper, and WarioWare.
The trick to get her to stop playing is ger her in the 'mood'. Ya know what Im saying?

Haha, that reminds me, my gf offcially cut me off since I beat all her high scores on Yoshi's Touch And Go, and she has yet to take my score out of #1.

She worked for at least two weeks on those scores, and I just picked it up one day out of boredom and barely beat her top score in marathon.

Want a foolproof way to piss off your significant other? There it is.

This is the truth.

It's also a good way to piss off old friends. Visited a friend last year and played some Mario Kart:DD with him. On the sly, I time trialed and slapped most of his personal bests around, then left my big, beautiful initials at the top of his times. When I got back from the visit, I got an e-mail in my inbox with no message, only a simple subject header: "Prick."

This thing about women in general sticking to a few tried and true games may not be inaccurate. My wife was addicted to Crazy Taxi and Space Channel 5 for the DC, and despite all the equally entertaining games I'd throw at her, she played those 2 and those 2 alone. Go figure.

My Wife is HOOKED on Animal Crossing.. I haven't been able to get to my Cube for over 3 weeks now UNLESS I'm playing Animal Crossing in the town she made me create so she could visit it so she could get more stuff.. She has also had my GBA-SP tied up using it for Animal Island..

She is so hooked I went ahead and bought a used DS for her to give to her on our Wedding Anniversary in Sept. & then go ahead and preorder Animal Crossing DS.. I figure the only DS game she will play till AC-DS comes out is Nintendogs.

You are one lucky bastard - enjoy it. My wife was way into video games but her interest has waned considerably (probably has something to do with the fact she takes care of our kid during the day). Maybe I need to get her to play some Lumines.

My fiancee is big on Super Monkey Ball and Animal Crossing. Usually, though, I'll recommend a game and she'll just play an hour or two and go read a book. She loves watching me play good games, though. I just beat God of War with her watching and pitching in advice. Past exploits include Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, and The Suffering.

Playing together equally, we got all golds on Burnout 3's crash mode, and beat Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2, Champions of Norrath, and LEGO Star Wars.
