It makes sense that POP:WW and jade empire drop to $15 When last week I paid finally broke down and pay $20 for each. thanks though op.

I picked up both Halo 2, and Jade Empire. I can only hope they're both some of the first games that are on the backwards compatible list for the Xbox 360 because that's why I bought dem bitches.

Its the same at GS in fact, I remember a time when a game was dropped to $15 new and we were still giving $20 for a used copy. It took us over two hours to convince the DM that this was a BAD thing .
 
I jumped on Jade Empire and Halo 2. Maybe it's just because it's 3 AM and I'm bored at work... but they should be fun when I have some free time.
 
Need for Speed Underground 2 is listed at $14.99 on the front page for XBOX and GBA, but shows up as $19.99 on the EB site. :cry:
 
Bloody hell, the link to jade empire is down. Does anybody have the webpage saved or printed out and is willing to scan it in? I need to CC this one.
 
I didn't have time to run out to CC and PM. I wanted to PM Pop2 and Jade Empire, but instead I picked up PoP2 used for $13.99 and it's in pristene condition. Hopefully Jade Empire LE will be on sale soon.
 
So glad I checked out yesterday afternoon when they were still in. And I doubt CC will PM, it's really a YMMV thing since we have all learned all too well how CC works by now. If you try to PM, they will more than likely call EB and ask what the price is (which sucks since retail is seldom ever cheap or reflect the website temp price drops) and you will have wasted a trip to CC. I tried a lot of PM during the time when EB had Metroid Prime 2 and Legend of Zelda 4 Swords for GC for $14.99 and I went to 4 different CC's only to get the shaft. I've given up PM'ing and just check out when I can. It's less stress and worth the 10% difference to just save myself that time and enjoy the games. :razz:

Don't worry... if EB is at all true to form, these prices will be jumping back and forth for a week or so.
 
My thoughts exactly, I'm just glad I won't be waiting by my pc all day and night for the price drop! I learned my lesson from earlier this summer and the $14.99 drops that happened. And don't forget!! There's a $5 pricegrabber rebate for POP:WW! WOOHOO! I just noticed it myself, so that drops POP to $10! Oh what a fine Monday it is. :lol:
 
Actually, if you view the page itself (and add to cart), Jade Empire and POP are back to 14.99 new.

Edit: I take that back.. that's weird. Could have sworn it showed up at that price in my cart the first time, but not now.

Oh well.. just means it'll be dropping soon.

I've never done it myself, but supposedly some places accept it. As always, YMMV.

Yes they do, YMMV. You can PM local competitor's and online competitor's too. CC is really one of the few stores that does this because they try their best to get your business in their store even if it has to match the cheaper prices of others.

Anytime when stuff like this is on sale online it is best to screen capture the page so that you can PM without it stating Out of Stock when you try to PM. The only thing though is CC has the right if you try to PM a website to actually go to the website and see if the product is in-stock but this is only in extreme cases when you get someone working that is trying to do everything by the book when it comes to PM.

Hi guys, I did luck out and I was able to stop by my local CC and pick up Jade Empire LE PMed at CC for $14.50 including tax. :cool: I took in the printout from the EB.com website before they changed back the price to $24.99 this morning for the regular edition. The clerk was very nice about it and only had to get it approved by the manager. She said their PM policy was getting more strict and PMing has to now get approval for all items.

Even better was when I got Metroid Prime for 14.99 and the used version was something like $34. Which actually sucked since it scared off all the stores from PMing it. Damn that Sears manager...
 
I picked up Jade Empire yesterday at Blockbuster for $10 (disc only). I really like it so far. IMHO, the combat system is more interesting than KOTOR. Mrs. Cheapy likes it too.

I hear ya, it seems that was REALLY hard to get PM from CC cuz the managers and clerks all looked at me like I'm a photoshop expert and somehow the new versions were only $15 yet the used were still $30+ :wall: I learned my lesson needless to say. I just buy it now from EB.com when I see it. Though it's difficult finding a decent used game to keep in my cart all the time for SAVER to work. :razz:
