Jade Empire SE on Vista?

I know this isn't exactly any help for your situation, but I've played Jade Empire SE on Vista and had no problems whatsoever. What sort of problem or error message are you getting?

You try compatibility mode? Go to properties compatibility->run in xp compatibility mode and then it should work (works for me)
By the way, I've noticed that pc's upgraded to vista instead of built brand new tend to have more problems would your computer happen to be upgraded?
 
jade empire SE worked just fine on vista for me without running in admin or safemode. Maybe something got messed up in the install or maybe its trying to run in a resolution that your computer is not able to switch to.
 
Yes i had it set to run in XP sp2 compatability mode.

It just fails to launch and pops up with the 2 message options. One was to search internet for a solution. second option was to close the program.

Vista with SP1 came with the laptop.

What resolution do you guys launch the game in? I might have to lower my resolution.
