Gamestop has used copies of R&C:GC for $35.
No new copies that I saw online.

EB has new copies for $40 online.

I hope I can get a $20 copy without the GH case.

Now to see if they'll let me combine a Rewards Zone certificate with a GGC. The RZ rules don't disallow it and it isn't a coupon per se...

I haven't had a problem doing that.

I already got Jak II for under $20 almost a year ago thanks to set of odd circumstances I don't quite recall. All the insanity sales start to blur into each other after a while. Anyways, after enjoying Jak & Daxter quite a lot Jak II was a huge disappointment. They tried so hard to make it more sophisticated but only succeeded in making it annoying. I especially got sick of seein gthe same cut scene for the umpteenth time because
i was having difficulty with the section immediately after. I don't mind having to struggle with part of a game but not being able to get around the cut scene made it torturous. I gave up and gone back to it since. Someday, I suppose.

If you really liked Jak & Daxter and would like a clone of that then pick up Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Blatantly similar game but with some vital differences to make it interesting in its own right.
I've been saving my completed game save file from Ratchet and Clank 1 for like a year now - I can't wait to start up GC.
You're going to have a blast, man. The R&C series is my favorite (of all platformers) and GC is even better than the first.

i picked both up near release for $40, although my sister payed for half of both, since she likes watching me play them.

I saw this on IGN about a week ago. Socom II is going to become a GH title as well. I still haven't seen them around though.
I smell fodder for TRU B2G1.
When will TRU be doing this again?

Now, if only Sony would make Everquest:CON a GH...
Not sure if I want Jak II since I felt the 1st is overrated. R+C:GC is a great game though.
You're gonna have a blast w/ Jak II -- it's hella hard, but very satisfying. I have a couple more hours to go to finish, and it's been more a struggle of finding time to play than actually wanting to -- it's a lot of fun.

I'll be pick up R&C once I actually do finish Jak II. Can't wait.

maybe i will but RandC GC again.... i accidently saved over my file with a new game one day :( :( :( i actually did the same thing with the original too! the menu starts on new game and i have the habit of jamming on the X button during openings LMAO! i was soooo pissed!

Didn't like Jak, but waiting for the R&C drop.
Good news!

A BB RZ cert is like a gift card, it's 'cash'. If they didn't let you use it with a coupon, I'd contest that.

Those of you who don't like GH--Assuming you can't find the non-GH version for 20 bucks, you'd rather pay 40 bucks for the current version, than the 'red stripe' GH version for 20?

So, Ratchet & Clank: Going comando is the same w/ Upcoming Ratchet & clank game. Only add with 4 players, online, and extra mini games right ??

That what i heard maybe i am wrong !!!

Just a warning: the weapons you get to transfer over are totally enwussened and in most cases have superior versions in the GC arsenal.

You do know that the price for Everquest:CON has dropped to $19.99 everywhere, right? I got it for $15 after GGC at BB. I have also seen in for $20 at EB and Gamestop.

Hm...I hope I saved mine : )

I've been waiting for this news since both games were originally released. Now I'm glad I had the restraint to wait. Both at once is sweet!

That sucks! - It toatally negates the reason for keeping a save file. whatever - I'm sure the game is still fun.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've been waiting for them to go GH. About time, too. The sequels come out this fall.

Any thoughts on Jak II? I'm worried about the supposedly insane difficulty. I get frustrated and discouraged easily when I replay the same part for more than 10 times.

Well, it is good for a skill point, I think, so you can't get 100% without it, but yeah, it's a letdown.

Err, insane difficulty? I played most of the way through the game, and there was only 1 area that I would call insanely difficult. Otherwise I never died more than a few times in any area. I guess it's not easy, but certainly nothing like Ninja Gaiden or anything :)

Thats old. I mean the fact that they are actually showing up in stores now. Which would mean its finally official. Ill rephrase. :)

Has anyone besides the poster seen them in stores as GH or just 19.99 yet?

I see. Apologies. I saw them at my local Target. I'm sure they'll start popping up all over soon enough.

 That's pretty sad, Seal, especially since Going Commando makes it so that you don't even have to worry about saving.

I played through Going Commando a while back, though I never touched Ratchet 1. I love how the weapons give you so many choices on how to play. It's also tweaked so, if you're struggling at a certain point, it usually makes it easier for you. Dying doesn't have much of a penalty, either. Some may think this makes it too easy, but I see what they're doing. They want it to be easy for people to get into and keep playing. It did get a little less user-friendly near the end, and some weapons were just too weak further in, but that's to be expected.

I find Insomniac's games (Spyro 1-3, Ratchet) better than Naughty Dog's (Crash 1-3, Jak). Never played much of the Crash games, played about 8 hours of Jak/Daxter, and haven't touched the copy of Jak II I got when it was released.
Looks like I found a game to pick up when I buy a PS2 friday. Ratchet & Clank: GC is mine.
You should get the first one first. But it isnt that important that you do.
