That's your problem. Someone in the GGT had this issue and couldn't put a regular code in until they paid for whatever the renewal was, I believe. Sucks that they were at the "yearly renewal" so MS wanted $50 to activate the live account before the codes could be applied... at least I think it's something like that -- zew was at least commenting on it at the time, I think, so maybe he remembers better, but it seems like you're in the same situation.[/QUOTE]
That seems to be the case with me: I couldn't put in my code until after I paid them.
But this is what I don't get:
1: I usually put in my code about a week before it expires (It's always in the 11th, so it sticks out in my mind).
2: I tried to imput my code on the 4th (7 days before it was due) and ran into the billing error.
3: I still had a week (well, six days left) and they turned off my account?
4: I said "
it" and paid the $8, only to see my account ends next week. What?
5: I re-entered the prepaid that I tried to use yesterday...and I'm good for only one more month?
I'm just trying to wrap my head around this. I'm annoyed, because it looks like I just paid $8 for less than a week of XBL (since my prepaid kicks in next week) and I know I entered in a card just before June 11th. So, what was that "valid credit card" crap about? What did I just get charged $8 for: the pleasure of renewing anyway?
If it was the annual $50, I'd be really pissed. Since this is my last pre-paid month card, I was about to get a new annual card - so it could have been much worse.
