Japanese Gamers are mad at IGN's article!
There are actually only a handful of companies translating games to Japan. Often games dont get any translation at all. Here is a good interview on the topic
I totally understand why when only 1 western game makes the top 100 list in Japan. The demand is non-existent.
And also the problem with Japanese voices is that they are exactly the same in EVERY game. English voiced games will ALWAYS be better than Japanese or other languages due to its variety in voice actors. If it is a Japanese game they will hire Japanese people to do ALL of the voices, which results in most Japanese movies, games, ect to sound exactly the same. When you have an English speaking game you will cast a German to voice a german character, a black guy to voice a black guy, a Japanese guy to voice a Japanese guy. I could not imagine how Kingdom Hearts would be enjoyable in another language...
They shoulda hired Jero to play Sazh....

You know, when JRPGs are creative, no one likes them. (SaGa)

I also tire of creative battle systems because they are so untested that it ends up looking silly. Give me my tried-and-true and continuously refined battle system. You might like FF6 but that battle system is broken on so many levels.

At this point, maybe we should just say "Who cares what Japanese gamers think about an article on an American website?"

The Japanese do everything they can to shun American games but they magically care about the silly article by IGN?

Have they been reading IGN for the last year? It's all silly articles and crap fantasies about the greatest sequels that were never made or the best heroines in a action RPG not produced by Namco garbage.

FF6's battle system is so broken it's awesome, like Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Agreed. The article raises some points that many already feel like are issues with JRPGs. I think the whole genre needs some new blood.
