Japanese GBA game recommendations?

The Super Robot Wars series is great for strategy fans. Napoleon was a decent attempt at RTS, but I tend to prefer turn-based myself.

Guru Logic Champ

Great puzzle game. Perfectly playable in Japanese. You'll only be missing the dialogue in the cutscenes, but they're pretty self-explanatory.

Here's a 10-level demo for the PC to see what it's like. The full game has 335 levels I believe.

Here's a site that lists GBA games only released in Japan and how playable they are for English speakers. It hasn't been updated in a while but it's a good list.

Hajime no Ippo is a great boxing game based off of the popular anime/manga. It's got a deep, fun, arcade-style battle engine, think improved Super Punch-Out.

I just checked eBay and it's around $30... I paid $60 a few years back and it was worth every penny, a steal at $30.

cool thanks guys!

yeah kurukuru kururin is frustrating as hell, especially when you're impatient as i am.

i got mr driller ace the other day. it's pretty good, but i can't really figure out the strategy in it (i really suck at it).

action games are good too. anything you want to throw at me.

if the game is heavily reliant on japanese text, it might be a bit too difficult for me, but i can read some japanese (reading the plot in gunstar super heroes is no problem)...
