The following thread are for niche-based Japanese video games by smaller companies such as Atlus, NIS America, AKSYS, XSEED, D3 Publisher, KOEI/TECMO, SNK Playmore, Ignition, Natsume or any sweet deals for those who are passionate and hardcore about Japanese video games even from the bigger companies like SquareEnix, Sega, Bandai Namco, etc.

But to avoid any messiness of links everywhere, we'll focus on games within the last 2-3 years as opposed to the last five-ten. [although, if you do see older titles on sale, please post them regardless].

The theme of these deals are Japanese video games distributed in the US by the smaller niche companies. The thread is literally for those who love Japanese games.
There will be a few Korean games that you may see on this list, such as the "DJ Max" games.

If you see a deal, please post!

NOTE: Please check the most recent page for the latest deals.

And I want to thank many of you in advance who submit their deals and their support!!!

I got my Tears to Tiara 2 in today with no dents (Its just the game and artbook). I remember being really flustered in the first few levels of TtT because of aggro distance and real time strategy. Having an eye on more than one spot was difficult, not to mention sometimes you had to split your team up. Having a balanced team was crucial. But then free time hah.

I'm interested in GG Xrd, but as for PS4 sticks, are there any that are officially announced that work on the system? I really don't want to shell out for another stick. Please, just bring Xrd to the PC.
The P4Arena Ultimate stick by Hori I believe has a switch to switch between PS3 and PS4....not sure otherwise.

If anyone here walked in to Best Buy and there was a 30 minute wait to check out, they would be out of business. Same for any retail operation.
Checkouts usual 10-30 so I'd have to disagree, I mean yeah I don't think I wait over 30 to check out every time I shop but it happens enough that I know to bring something to entertain myself with me. generally the longer times are standard during weekends and holidays.

Update on my Senran Kagura situation. Manager was at the store today and totally purplexed by the situation, she checked all the shipping records and nobody had any copies inbound. So she offered to either do a manual ship to store for a copy, or an expedited ship to home. I chose the latter since it would arrive Monday (As opposed to the 20-24th for instore)

Doesn't seem like this will end up like some peoples P4AU's did.
Hmmm... My best buy was claiming there was no way to a ship to store. I was able to place an order online site to store just not at least.

Also I forgot to put but EF - A Fairy Tale of the Two is getting a hardcover packaged release feature both EF games, a 120 page mini artbook, a sticker and a reversible cover poster.

Very excited and I own at least the first digital and what I played was great. I was looking to pick up the second but this package is nice and I probably will pick it up. Mangagamer....very nice.

Also may have already mentioned this but Girlish Grimoire Littlewitch Romanesque: Editio Perfecta also up for pre-order. Supposedly it should come out in 2014, but JAST USA is well know for delaying releases...so I will say no it misses 2014 by one month.

Just keeping people in the know since eroge don't come out that often, and these 2 I'm excited for along with Cartagra ~Affliction of the Soul~ which should release October 31st in Mangagamer download form.

In my area, I only wait that long at Best Buy during holidays, and normally they have extra help, so that's for sure an exception, and not the rule.

I have 5-6 Post offices in driving distance to me, and anyone of them has a standard wait time of 30-60 minutes on any day, at anytime, and it's even worse during holidays. I personally don't see them being the same.

If you want a PS4 stick and you don't want to spend $200 on the MadCatz PS3/PS4 TE2, get a Hori RAP V4.
This is really tempting. I can't play 2D fighters without a stick anymore (I mean I can, but playing a 2D fighting game with a pad feels wrong to me) and I really want to get GGXrd for the PS4.

This may sound like I'm a germaphobe(which I am) but when you guys handle used games, do you ever wonder where the hands that handled those games have been?

Gotta figure just based on odds alone, a decent sized percentage were probably gaming, got in the mood for a little porn.... you figure out the rest.

mines the opposite. Probably a 5 min wait for my post office. To be fair we have only 3 grocery stores in my area one of which is walmart so yeah. Also I live in a small city so there aren't that many people going to there. I avoid shopping on weekends and holidays or during rush periods as that's generally when stores are busy.

then get like new/new when available if you're so worried about it. Though I would think since the rpg type crowd isn't dude bro's the odds are in your favor ignoring the pron games some of you buy. You should kinda expect it there >.> :speaktothehand:

I pretty much only buy new games. Not just because I don't like handling other people's stuff, but that is a reason.

I know I'll get a PS4 some time in the future, but I won't do it until it's absolutely necessary. Thankfully Xrd is almost identical on the PS3 to the PS4 version. Plus it has crossplay, so that's really all the incentive I need to get the PS3 version.

This is great news, I was about to give up hope for a physical release.

Senran came last night via Best Buy Bubble Mailer and was surprised at the condition. Some small creases on the edge of the box but the corners were good and no damage to the side that you read on the shelf.

Can also confirm it works natively on Ps TV. Got an error first time I launched it but second time no problem.

Trying to decide if I should get Tears to Tiara 2 or not. First one has been on my backlog for a while and I have the full series on my Plex ready to watch, and game play looks very fire emblem esque. Worth it at the price? And should I believe the reviews about Conception 2? Not a fan of grinding and heard it's pretty bad in those terms

Conception is hella grindy. If you're not gonna use the EXP DLC, you're looking at hours and hours of boring ass combat.

Should start with Persona 3 Portable.
or P3Fes. I do think Persona 3 should be played first so you can really appreciate the enhancements of the the P3 system into the P4 system which in turn you will get to see the refinement whenever P5 comes out. I also feel P3 was a great game, I haven't played P4Golden yet though, just the original PS2 game, so will likely get to that before P5 comes out.

Persona is all about boring dungeon crawling/grinding for a couple hours then nothing else to really do but social links and sleep to move the plot along.  And sp recovery and money gaining is an issue in p4 in comparison to p3.  Also disappointed they took out dungeon party commands as It saved alot of time and energy having them search dungeons and kill things. And was useful for when you wanted to grind a specific character or avoid following the in battle rules.  Characters fighting by themselves don't have to factor in weaknesses and such so they can solo an enemy that would normally be impossible for them if you were fighting with them.

p4 is mixed in what it did improve and what it went back on.  Much like xillia to xillia 2. party members and social links got better but other stuff got worse.

p4 vita adds skill selection during fusion which is a major upgrade and time saver.

I think the one thing besides that everyone appreciates is that you can control party members in p3p/p4.  Seriously dumb as  fuck decision to have ai party members.  Since the ai is beyond incompetent especially   fuck  faced mitsuru.

Agreed the AI was lame in P3/P3 FES which was changed in P3P....need to pick that up someday. I happen to like the stories in Persona games...particularly 2 (both games) and I thought 3 had a decent story as well. I think the story of P4 was a bit meh, though the game was fun overall.

if you go into p4 with the right frame of mind its ok. I think hiimdaisy's comic version portrays the game better as a comedy than the game does.

I honestly thought Japan had learned not to trust teammate AI way back in Dragon Warrior IV. You think the AI they programmed for a PS2 game is bad, imagine how stupid it had to be back on the NES!

If youre going to grind in Conception, look for the enemies that give you 9000 exp (maybe more. Dont remember) per kill. You can grind the levels pretty fast.

Agree, it seems so simple compared to the other 2 I mentioned. When I was playing P3 I was constantly thinking about life how I stand in it among other things. When I started P4 I was like okay...people taking on their shadows and overcoming a mystery....this is alright...maybe not deep but decent. It also didn't help P4 came very shortly after P3....maybe 1-2 years, I don't remember anymore. It's funny how much P3 was forgotten by people and P4 was thought of almost coming out too quickly to capitalize on the end of the ps2's life. Course P4 is now on everyone's pedestal and it's good, but yeah I can't wait for P5. I'm more critical of P4 than most people though...course I've played the whole series though I didn't play much of Persona 1.

I thought to grind in Conception 2 you have to touch hands furiously in basking glowing light.....star children baby!

Battle Princess of Arcadia too for $7.49. Going to get that and Diva F for Vita. Is there cross save with the ps3 version since I already have been playing in that?

Diva F not being cross save is saddening. I'm about 50-60% through the ps3 version...guess i'll just finish off there and save the money for something else.....

So should I drop conception and get Persona 4 Gold? Haven't played any in the series but gets a lot of attention
I actually didn't find Conception grindy at all. But then again, the difficulty just spiked up a lot towards the end and I was so sick of the game that I just spent all my money on potions so I could never die...

But yeah.. get Persona 3 or 4 instead. Don't think Conception is that great of a game and there's better things to play especially if you haven't played Persona yet.

If anyone is tempted by time and eternity please don't do it. I literally couldn't make it passed 10 minutes in the game.
I paid like $65 for my copy and I don't regret it....

that being said it's still sitting sealed on my shelf, and was only bought so I would continue to own every single NisA ps3 LE.
