Is the English in the Japanese version any different from the US/PAL version? That could be terribly interesting.
Didn't they just re-release it in america again.
Yes, but as noted in the PW thread, it's hard to find and a lot of the online sources are backordered or price gouging.

Interesting...I never knew it had an English language selection.
I guess I should try to pick it up locally.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, but does anyone know if the non "best price" edition has English?

It certainly should, i follow the DS boards pretty closely and i remember people saying the game was available in english through import before it was released here in America.

Just to re-confirm what the guy above me said, yes it does.
is this the sequel?
No. I think the ssequel hits the US this fall.

But I wonder if the other sequels have english language. Play asia has vol 3 available and vol 4 for pre-order. But I don't know if they have english and it doesn't say. So I would assume no. You should do some investigating Cheapy!

I'd just buy the U.S. version - it has far superior cover-art. :D

the answer is no. English option usually dont magically appear unless the game has a US release planned. (the lone execption might be phantom dust.)
Picked it up today for about $23 US...Gonna give it a shot in a few hours.
How'dja get it so cheap good sir? Are b&m import shops better than online?

b&M store in Japan is better than online price :p

i guess people are just getting the us version for the fact that it was hard to get.

that's what perked my interest or i would have gotten the jp verion.
Never played Phoenix Wright. What's with all the love for the game? Impressions/description, plz.

--BF.
Descriptions would NEVER do the game justice, i told people its a lawyer game, and they were all like "LAME" and by the end of the day 4 of them were hooked on it, but to answer your question, its a text adventure game where you play as a lawyer, and try to defend your client (who is always innocent, but the witnesses tend to LIE making your life extra difficult) its quite funny too, sometimes you get these options that lead to HILARIOUS results, and the point of the game is just to try and make your client NOT GUILTY, honestly its one of THE BEST games for the ds, you should get it if you have the chance

Played the first case tonight...really a fun game!
Kind of reminds me of those Encyclopedia Brown books.

DS, you've done it again!

Phoenix Wright is awesome. Allow me to prove it.

The villain in the second case, before he testifies, he taunts...
"I hope you've made your peace with God, Mr. Lawyer."

Brilliant...

How's the length of the game? Any replay value at all? Looks really fun, but I don't want to spend 30 bucks if it's only going to last like 4 hours.

You had me with Encyclopedia Brown! Just got a DS Lite this past week and have spent a lot of time using it. When I'm not playing with it, the wife's playing with it! The DS of course.
