Jeb Bush would make a great president

Meh. I'd like to think that the legacy W looks to be leaving behind would negate any relative of his from running. Had you asked me in 1992 if I thought the country would ever elect another Bush, however, I'd have reacted the same way.

Then again, I tend to like my democracies free from dynasties, be they Kennedies, Bushes, or Dalies (those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head). Such legacies serve as concrete evidence of the immense social benefits of being born priveleged in a society, and as a corollary, the severe penalty for being born "average" (for want of a better phrase), in our "egalitarian society."

I'd say any seriousness of this depends on (1) November: if either branches of Congress end up led by Democrats, the Republicans will never hedge their bets on a Bush again, and also (2) whether or not Jeb wants to do it. I don't know enough about the guy to say one way or another.

Jeb would certainly be a better president than George. I certainly don't think he'd be a particular good president, but he'd at least not be a complete train-wreck like his brother. There's about a bajillion more qualified canidates, though (pretty much all of them, unfortunately, with no hope of getting on the ballot...)

I knew they were gonna do this all along for anyone who doesnt live in florida or follow this guys ways at all.

Hes more well spoken doesnt come off as an idiot but about all he does is kiss old people ass and avoid everything else he possibly can.

That list would include Clintons too, right?

You know, I must admit having Gov. Bush as President might be cool just for the shock value. Maybe some of the liberals would actually make good on their promise to leave.

When we leave it gets worse. Trust me, I left here and bush got elected. I left canada and harper got elected. I just can't win.
