Go to
www.thebreakroom.org and browse through their forums, you'll thank me later. Also, being hired this time of year is always seasonal at Target and they will tell you as soon as you sit down that you will likely not have a job in January. Most of the time (>80%) this is true, and you will likely be laid off in January. When I was at Target we would usually bring on about 15-20 people and usually kept no more than 3-4.
I agree...start making shit up now and use what other people did as your response.
I interviewed for target 2 years ago for a CSR Team lead position they said I was qualified for. They had me come back for 4 days for interviews. Everything went well and I thought I got the job. Days later I get an email saying I didn't get the job...when I called them to see what happened they said that my file (since I worked for them 6 years earlier said no rehire..)
and I was like wth? I told them I put in my two weeks notice when I left 6 year earlier and thought I left under good terms. Turns out that the idiot HR person back then burned me on my file when I left.

that.
Geez they had access to my file all that time yet put me thru 4 days of interviews?!?!?
Yeah, that's not that uncommon actually. If one of the ETLs or STLs doesn't like you they can place a non-rehireable flag on your file with little to no repercussions and your essentially done for good with Target. Now, that doesn't mean you can't get hired but it anytime you would apply it would show up on your application paperwork and the majority of stores won't touch someone with a non-rehireable status.
What is odd though is that they told you of your non-rehireable status, that's not something they're supposed to do under any circumstances.
