John Thain: I want 10 million dollars.

fuck that mother fucker. "I want 10 mill because I helped avert bankruptcy". Sorry dipshit, you barely even deserve a pat on the back for that...which is much more than the average worker at places like that

GUESS WHAT DIPSHIT: PEOPLE WHO RUN THEIR COMPANY INTO THE GROUND AND ARE LUCKY TO GET BOUGHT OUT DON'T DESERVE REWARDS.

And you know, tough economy etc etc. Cut back on the Starbucks and Hummers, John.

Reminds me of Patrick Ewing pissing and moaning about how hard it was to support a family on 6 million dollars. Guy got booed for the rest of his career for that one.
Not surprisingly, he withdrew his request for the bonus.
Hes gonna get ridiculed for the rest of his life, and he deserves it

Now there's two types of CEO's.. there's CEO's.. and than there's Assholes, and I hate Assholes. You see an Asshole will want credit for something you're suppose to do.. like.. "I didn't send the company into bankruptcy, so give me 10 million dollars."

this guy.

CEOs seem to have the attitude of "Well we got through another year without any major screwups, i deserve a little extra for that."

Isn't that what they get paid for in the first damn place?

The funny thing is that the only way he could possibly spin any potential bonus would be because his company avoided complete failure due to the merger.........however....Thain himself had NOTHING to do with the BoA merger so he doesn't deserve any bonus for that either. That was all the COO's doing, Thain just gave final approval but by all accounts he had nothing to do with the actual idea or negotiation with BoA.

"You know the worst thing about politicians? Politicians always want some credit for some shit they supposed to do. For some shit they just supposed to do: A politician will brag about some shit a normal man just does. A politician will say some shit like, "I take care of my kids."

You're supposed to, you dumb mothafucka. What are you talkin' about? What are you braggin' about? What kind of ignorant shit is that?

"I ain't never been to jail." What do you want, a cookie? You're not supposed to go to jail you low expectation having mothafucka."

I like what you're saying. But if we the people don't have the collective balls to say similar things to government, we certainly can't expect government to say it to large corporations (that ultimately control government).

This whole escapade is just a problem with corporate america. Both for executives and lower tier employees annual bonuses have become "expected" parts of their income.

That's just bullshit. Bonuses should be something you earn through exceptional performance above and beyond the work you were expected to do for your salary.

Hi I'm John Thain, I'd like to take a min. to tell you I'm not only a national prick member, but I'm also a national idiot. Thank you.
