You still paying for the 360 elite? Can it be done with a paypal account using that plugin thing?

EDIT: Scratch that, paypal plugin needs my SSN. Stupid. Anyway I can do any of these with $10 paypal?

I'm considering signing up under you and then trying to get an xbox myself, but if its taking you a year even after offering $25 per referral, there is little chance of me actually completing it. Just out of curiosity, if you were willing to dish out some cash to get the reward why didn't you go the points route? 8 referrals at $25 a piece is $200. I assume you could have gotten the system if you were willing to spend $200 on offers.

According to their website there is. You can even transfer your referral account to a points account and maintain your progress.

"PointsWith a points account, you obtain your free gift by obtaining credits through trying our advertisers offers. Upon fulfilling the requirements of each offer, you will receive the advertised point amount for that advertiser. Once you have accumulated enough points for your desired item, you may place your order and your chosen item will be sent to you! The full item and shipping costs are covered by your earned points and you will never receive a bill, invoice, or charge from us for your item or shipping cost (Please review the advertiser registration terms to determine any recurring service(s) regarding your account with them).

360 Elite system - 875 points
$480 Cash - 1000 points
$475 Gift Card - 1050 points
Elite Platinum - 1120 points
360 Elite Bronze - 1060 points
360 Elite Silver - 1080 points
360 Elite Gold - 1120 points

If you join with a referral account and later wish to participate using a point based account, you are allowed make 1 account type switch and your progress will be retained with the new settings."

So I assume you could switch your account type and get 75% (since you have 75% of the referrals ) of the points needed for your system, then just do some offers yourself and finish the rest off.

Oh, that point method. Yeah I know about that, however, if I went that route, I would only have 354/875 points. It really wouldn't make sense to continue with a point account at this rate, I'll be less than half way done, and I've done a handful of Trainn offers already. A lot of the ones available for me are offers like credit cards and direct tv, etc. So I'm going to stick to the referrals and hope that a couple of people will sign up using my link.

If you switch your account type to points they don't give you the equivalent value of your referrals in points? How many points do they give you per referral? I figure I can only get 4 referrals at the most, so was thinking of getting those then switching to a point account and finishing the rest off. Now I'm wondering if I'm better off just starting out as a point account. Any idea how much cash I would have to spend on offers to get the 360? And are you still offering $25 to sign up under you?

yes I am still offering the $24. As for the offers, it depends. While there are a lot of 50 point offers, each offer ranges from as little as 10 points - 75 points? I believe. The higher the point value the more they ask (i.e. they want you to subscribe to DirecTV or something).

No, they don't give you the equivalent of what you earn when you convert to a point account. Even though I am 75% done with referrals, when converted to points my progress is less than 50% complete. To finish now using a point account will be difficult for me as I have already completed multiple offers from them. What's mostly left for me are offers available to Canada and other subscriptions that are pretty expensive.

If you sign up for offers do you have to stay with the service for an extended period of time? I was reading a netflix offer from their site which said 2 week free trial and then become a paying member to receive your reward. I wouldn't mind paying $9.99 for a month or something ( like the blockbuster one I read ), but would prefer not to have to join something for a long period of time unless the point value was really worth the while.

if you sign up for service like netflix or BBV, you only have to remain a paying customer for 1 month. They offer a 14 day trial, but you must keep your membership at least 22 days after your 2 week trial, after this, they will charge your credit/debit card and you'll be paying monthly. The great thing about it is, it's very easy to cancel online. I would suggest taking advantage of the service, if you're going to be paying for a month anyway and cancel near the end.

I figure I will probably sign up under you in a few days. I'm going to look for a cheap and quick offer most likely for the first one. I want to crunch some numbers when I actually have access to all the offers with their respective point values, so I can make sure the process is actually worth the while. So hopefully I can find a cheap one so if it ends up not being worth it I didn't spend a lot, and quick so you don't have to wait 22 days to get your credit from me signing up Haha.

that's cool, let me know if you have anymore questions. If you want to know how soon you'll get credit, then you can sign up and check the estimated time each offer takes before they credit your account.

I have a few more. Is a debit card acceptable or does it have to be an actual credit card? I'm not trying to scam with a one time use card or anything it would be a legitimate debit card. Also, any idea on how much $$ I would have to spend on point offers to actually end up with the 360? I read in another thread that a Wii would take about $50, which is great. I expect the 360 to be more though since the retail price costs more than the Wii. How do the factory warranties work on the systems? Do they start from when you "won" the system or do they start from when the site purchased them, which could have been years ago, meaning the warranty is now expired? Lastly, any idea on what model 360s they ship out? I.E. Falcon, Jasper, etc.

If the 360 ends up requiring a pretty large amount of money to get and you end up with no warranty and possibily one of the less reliable chipsets, I'm not sure if the site would be worth it. Given the RRoD issues with the 360, I might be better off getting a retail xbox, if the site ends up being only a little cheaper and offers an out of warranty system with a bad chipset.

I can't answer all your questions, because I have yet to cash out. But I'll answer the ones I have info on.

1. Yes a debit card will work, as long as it has a CVV # on the back. When you sign up for offers, your billing address must match the address you're receiving the service.

2. I honestly think $50 is a bit low for the Wii, again that depends on the offers you choose to complete. They do offer trials but you still have to pay for shipping. So if you do all 50 point offers you will need to complete 11 offers (the cost to complete will vary).

3. The 360 is 875 points/8 referrals, at 50 points each you would need to complete 17.5 offers, I cannot tell you how much it will be because the actual cost will vary by offer.

4. I don't know what chips the 360 models will have, but from looking at my previous orders at (YF360games.com) Trainn orders their prizes from Amazon.com after you cash out. Most likely if you were to cash out today you would be getting the chips that are on shelves. As for warranty you would have to take that up with amazon, they are the distributor of the prizes. You're merely receiving a gift from Trainn so my guess is they will honor the warranty after Trainn places the order. I am not 100% sure, so you may want to contact Trainn about this one.

Hope that helps :)

I currently live on and off at two different houses. Do you know if my debit card would be linked somehow to one of the houses, meaning I couldn't use the other house as my address? I live at one house during the summers, and if it matters where I lived when i signed up for my card, it would be this one. I live elsewhere during the rest of the year and would much rather use this address for the offers.

Also, with the universal price cut of the 360 elite, will it require fewer referrals/points to acquire your gift? If not, would seem almost foolish to get the 360 and not the $480 cash, considering for a few more points you could buy a 360 for $299 with the latest chipset, full warranty, and still have $180 left over.

As long as the site can confirm the shipping address matches your card's mailing address it should be okay. If you plan to use another address, make sure to change your address to your new one before signing up. Some sites are strict and will only accept payments from the same billing and shipping address.

I don't think the required points and referrals will drop at all. There are plenty of old 360 games on YF360games.com that are worth $10 at most but still require you to complete the same amount of offers it would take to get a $60 game. The price is pretty much set in stone. I would love to cash out for the $480 unfortunately that requires 10 referrals, and as you can see I have only 6. I'm just trying to cash out since it's been a long year for me.
how do i do this? I have a prepaid mastercard gift card. will that work for the site?
I don't think pre-paid cards will work. Only virtual debit cards through paypal and debit/credit cards will work

Ok thanks a lot for your help. Did you complete the Wii offer yet? I'm leaning towards a ref trade now, but if you already completed it that's fine I will still do the $24. If you can trade a Wii ref I'm pretty sure I can get the 5 referrals in no time from friends.

Oh and any idea on how I would change my card mailing address, or even locate it? Can't find anything about the mailing address on my banking site.

Nevermind, found it

If you plan on signing up for one of the above let me know and we can trade.
