That's your problem. I had trouble uploading them from my computer when I first joined here. I then tried imageshack and it fixed all of those problems. It's easy to do.
 
I never thought that that would be the problem as I have done it in the past (actually everytime, minus my sig *thanks Reality's Fringe*). I guess I should try that what do you have to do to sign up to imageshack?

Edit: But still why won't it even let me use one of the website's database avatars.

So true. How could I have forgotten you Crash? I can't believei didn't give you props for finding it. Well here it goes, thanks again Crash for part of the awesome sig.
 
Nope, it won't let me do anything that has to do with an avatar. I can't host from imageshack, I can't use one of the site's avatars, I can't upload from my computer anyone else having this trouble/know what to do?
 
If you can, post the picture here.

It seems like a picture is trying to load as your avatar, but then just disappears.
 
I think I know what you're talking about Trakan. In the past few days I have seen my avatar load a few times but then it just disappears.

This is the picture Trakan. I'm must give another shout out to Moxio for making the avatar and helping figure out how to make it transparent.
 
Hmm, I can't even see it on the board, so there has to be something wrong with the picture itself.

When I copy the image location and try to load it, it says the picture contains errors.

Do you think I should make another thread an dbring this to Cheapy's attentino? I thought it was something just on my end, but A) it won't let me upload from my computer B) give a URL or C) take one from the site's.

I just tried seeing it in Mozilla and it cam up with this error:

The image “http://img81.exs.cx/img81/5489/magus3.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I don't understand how it could contain errors. It is just the pic that Moxio did for me of Magus from Chrono Trigger but all I did to modify it was to make it transparent.

Also, then how is it coming up fine on my end over here?

Could it be that it jsut doesn't work in Firefox/Mozilla? I'm running right now through IE.
 
It could be the IE/FireFox thing. I am also using FireFox. There has to be something else wrong though because it's not showing up as your avatar.

I'm just using regular old Mozilla.
 
hmmm....O.k. In the spot it says:

Upload Avatar from a URL:
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image, it will be copied to this site.


I just put the link right or am I doing something wrong??
 
Nothing is coming up except the stupid red x and I have been only putting the link there and that's it.

It's as though it isn't even accepting it.
 
It really irritates me when I know what I'm doing is right but I can't figure out why it's wrong. I have narrowed down the possibilites as to the reason why it's not coming up as follows something's up at imageshack but this truly doesn't make sense as others have been able to see it, something's up at CAG in concerns to uploading or doing anything with an avatar (i.e. upload,link,getting one off the database), or like WSB said my avatar is just cursed which also doesn't make sense since it worked fine in the past and Moxio made me it.
 
Do you still have the Magus avatar with the white background? Or the Garfield one? If you do, host them at imageshack.us and try uploading them as your avatar. If myself and Morbid see them, it's a problem with the transparent Magus pic. If we can't something could be wrong with the site.

I just did what you said you did and it worked for me.

I feel like I'm qouting myself when I do this. I tried that already, on two of my computers. On the old one and this one. They both didn't work.


-Trakan, I think I might have the original avatar with the white background somewherre if I didn't by accident save over it in the transparency process :? . Also I'm not sure I have that Garfield one anymore.
 
That's what I did, 1.I copy the link 2. I paste the link in the URL avatar thing and pressed submit. After that all I get is the same profile settings page but without my pic displayed (the same red x) and the link area empty without the link.
 
Yeah, there's not much more I can suggest. If you can post this in the feedback forum, maybe someone can figure out what's wrong with your PC that won't let you upload what I could.
 
I'll do it a little later I guess. I'm kind of tired now. thanks for trying to help all. Oh and Crash, if you wan't I'll let you loane the avatar. :wink:
