You can judge up to 599 actual ballots currently. I know that's a lot, but I've been doing a few minutes at a time and am up to 250 judged (Coleman 101, Franken 89, Other/no vote 60). It's interesting to see 90+% of the challenges to ballots are obviously frivolous as those are clearly marked (or not marked).

EDIT: did some more, up to 500. Coleman 198, Franken 185, Other/no vote 117.

EDIT2: Okay, finished. Four ballots won't come up with any pictures for me so I can't judge them. Dunno if that's a Firefox issue or what. Anyway, I got for 595 ballots: Coleman 238, Franken 217, Other/no vote 140. I guess I was more inclined to disqualify ballots than people on average. I don't see how you can say when there are two ovals filled in, one with an X through it and one without, what they meant by the X (did they mean they were voting for that one or not? other ballots had X's through them as votes).

Lol, yeah. I'm not sure what crack either side is smoking for some of their challenges.

Although Franken just needs to concede already and stop dragging this out any longer.

Bumped because Franken just took the lead.

Oh come now, we all knew that democrats are just as capable of stealing an election as the republicans have. This whole mess is just driving that point home.

May Franken die in a fiery plane crash like that asshat Wellstone (may he burn in hell).

All I know is with the latest recount they double counted something like 140 ballots and they won't go back.

I'll bet $1 billion you never met Paul Wellstone. Regardless of whether you agreed with his politics or not, he was a good person for sure. You're the same as those who label President Bush "evil" because they disagree with his policies.

And you're saying Norm Coleman ISN'T a giant asshat?

Seriously, this is like the Douche & Turd episode of South Park.

I think we can relate that episode to all people running for political office.

No, all I was thinking from the beginning of the whole mess was that at least Coleman takes the job seriously (for better or for worse). A comedian out of left field with no public service experience? I mean, I know that politics are a joke, but lets not take things too literally. Personally I would have been far happier if Dean Barkley had won. Between Coleman and Franken though I'll take an experienced asshat over a sick joke anyday. The Senate should be taken seriously...or so I so desperately want to believe lol,

And yes, it is exactly like that SP ep for all intents and purposes. No good comes out of it either way.

Al Franken actually has some political experience, he's written a lot of books about politics. Classics like Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, and The Truth: with jokes. ;)

so i guess that makes michael savage, ann coulter and big fat iodiot rush limbaugh qualified as well.

I thought that qualifications for political appointments had been thrown out the door years ago. Don't we just elect the the person we'd like to have a beer with now?
