Just a little Wii repair story

So, yesterday I filled out an online repair form to have my wii repaired, since it "acts up" occasionally. I got it at launch and registered it to get the 3 month warranty extension, so I'm covered through Feb. 19.

So, I fill out the form, and get the confirmation email. However, it states that I will be charged 82.50!

So, I call Nintendo and clear it up with no hassle at all It turned out that the purchase date was messed up and it disregarded my 3 month warranty extension, and treated my system as not under warranty.

So, I guess the point of this thread is to:

-Make sure you call Nintendo to set up a repair if you are in a similiar situation
-Give an example that Nintendo has good costumer service

hmm it seems like they just messed up with you.

Same situation, but they saw in the system that I was covered through Feburary 19th.

And guess what, when they send you back your system, your warranty automatically renews for one whole year. Now tell me Nintendo does not have good customer service.

It's funny, the company that has the best CS is the company with whose hardware I've never (or rarely) had trouble with.

people do not even use nintendo cs that much, i have NES that my parents bought for me when a kid and it still works like a charm i have not changed the pins. I also have a N64 that has never failed same with a gamecube, wii, classic gameboy, gameboy color, game boy advance and nintendo ds.

Funnily enough Nintendo is the only game manufacturer I've ever had to call CS for - DS Lite had dead pixel, advance replacement free of charge. Wii had the "static in one speaker during standby" issue when I got it last April, again, free advance replacement. Two thumbs up - Nintendo CS FTW !!!
