I just beat Gitaroo-Man and I just have to say, goddamn, thats easily one of my favorite games ever. I don't know if its because I'm a big fan of music, or because I play guitar or what....but this game hit me hard. Its definitely worth the $47.99 that I spent on it through ebay a few weeks back. Thanks GameQuestDirect (ebay) aka SpankMeNow420 (cag).

Thanks for getting me back into this game. I remember how much i was into it when i bought it but i didn't get a chance to finish it. I'm gonna get started now.

:notworth: :notworth:

You are a god. It took me forever to beat the third stage, and I gave up on the fourth. It is a great game though, and the music rocks.

It's not that hard, unless you're on the Master difficulty that you unlock after beating it once. That is absurdly hard.

actually it was pretty damn hard until you got the hang of it....now im killing the game....im going to try the master difficulty, but im sure that im gonna get rocked in it...which will keep me up and pissed off all night long until i have to go to work in a few hours....

ps, call me a puss, but my favorite levels were easily both levels with kirah in them
just got done beating the first level on "masters play" and ive been playing the second level for the last 15 minutes....its definitely impossible....
The ending melody on that level is probably insane.

I still cant get past the part where the bear knocks down the tree on stage 3

are you talking about on normal play or masters play? i flew through all of the stages except for the 3 skeletons stage and the stage after that

normal play for me. I have only been playing off and on and the third stage keeps owning me.

I suck at music games and have no rhythm so it takes me a lot more effort to get far in the game than other people.
I WANT THIS GAME, LET THEM REISSUE IT LIKE REZ
sorry to go off topic but when does the Rez re-release come out?

This is the only "rare" (semi-rare) game I own, and I bought it when it was still in stores. Great 4-player game, even greater for $30 new.

i have to mention that one very retarded feature in this game is that you can't pause the game without having to restart the whole level....i cant even begin to tell you how many times i pressed start to pause the game only to realize that i have replay the level again....the levels are never that long, but when you're on a hard one and you're doing really good, it pisses you off....

egad man, had I known you were looking for this game awhile back, I could have gotten it for you for $19.99 brand new. Saw a copy at a Fred Meyer here. Oh well, it is a great game, one of my favorites.

Gitaroo-man is awesome. I gave up on it once I hit Mojo King Bee on Master Play, though.... I didn't want my hands to get hurt.

I managed to beat Mojo King Bee in Master Mode.

Fourth level? Don't even waste your time.....

*throws controller into orbit*

I just finished beating the game on normal difficulty at last and man was it fun but that pause problem was SO annoying. I refused to answer the phone while i was playing because i would be forced to try the level all over again. Now to try master...

Um, I beat it 3 years ago.

Anyways, yeah this game is fucking amazing. I pray to God that a sequel SOMEHOW gets made. If you don't have this and you have ANY interest in music games, get it NOW.

I'm still on the 2nd stage of Masters Play. Man it is driving me nuts. My friend got to stage 8 Gregorio Wilehem III on Master's Play...but that's about it as far as I know

I just beat Gitaroo Man. It was very sloppy at the end, but I beat it.

probably one of the best games I have ever played. I have replayed several levels already and will continue to.

I hope I can at least beat the second stage on master mode

Every so often I get the song where you're up against the skeletons (the name escapes me) stuck in my head for, oh, about 3 days straight. Gitaroo Man was what got me into rhythm-based games (though not many since have held my attention, with the exception of ReZ).

I'm glad I was lucky enough to find it at CC around January during the buy-two-$20-get-$10-back deal. I am also glad that the cashier didn't realize that both games I had in my hand were $15, and that I got Gitaroo Man and VF4Evo for $10 each.

the beat on that one is just great.

another good one is the stage after that. The whole Rock Opera thing is just amazing

yeah, I have to agree. The acoustic track, level 7 I think, is awesome.

It's one of those games where after it "clicks," it becomes super addictive.

yea, I quit for a while after not being able to beat Mojo King Bee. Once I beat him, it clicked and I could beat every stage after a few tries.

Weird thing about Gitaroo Man: the Japanese version is super-hard, and the review build I was initially sent was super-easy. The actual one that released in the U.S. is somewhere in between.

I picked up the soundtrack while I was in Japan for the 2002 Tokyo Game Show. Definitely worth the $20. Somehow, the game didn't sell there, either.

Oh, and regarding the pause making you restart, most music games are like that -- such as the Parappas. I think it has to do with how the console reads the music track and its inability to resume it.

I got all the way to the last level then stopped. Sigh now im out of practice. Will I ever beat this game???

That shark level was the hardest level ever
