Just Beat Splinter Cell, What Next?

SoulEdgeVII

CAGiversary!
I just beat Splinter Cell for the GC and I loved it. The only problem was I found it to be kind of short and now I need more stealth action. Metal Gear Solid:The Twin Snakes is still a little too pricey and I played through Beyond Good & Evil which had some stealth-lite areas to it. Should I play Splinter Cell on the hard setting to tide me over until Pandora Tomorrow? Do I unlock anything if I beat it on hard? Are there any other stealth games for the Gamecube? Thanks.

Metal Gear Solid is about as good as it gets. The game is amazing and has a much higher replayability factor than Splinter Cell.

I would try the trading boards or eBay. I am sure you can score a copy for like 25-30 shipped

let me make this clear, metal gear and splinter cell have almost nothing in common, besides the stealth factor.

they play as diffrent as night and day and just because you like splinter cell, dosent mean youll like mgs.

that being said mgs is a real classic and you should download a demo of the old pc version to see if its for you or not

trust me on this, the first splinter cell's single player is as good as it gets. you will be disappointed in pandora tomorrow. they cut down the quality of the single player to make the multiplayer and it sure does show.

Yeah Pandora is short too...I beat both...They were awesome while they lasted...I cant wait for 3 cuz its supposed to have a longer single player...Oh and if you already beat it hard is gunna be a breeze...hard is supper easy if you already beat it...

I am sure it is nowhere near as good as splinter cell, but rogue ops is decent and really cheap. Have yet to play Splinter Cell but I believe they are similar. Rogue Ops was worth its cheap, cheap price.

You should go for Hard mode before buying anything. Get the most out of the game.

If you've had any experience with PSX's MGS, pick up the Twin Snakes.

If you want Pandora Tomorrow, but don't mind that it won't be multiplayer (totally disappointing, btw), then go for it.

I agree with punqsux, MGS and SC are two completely different beasts. I am an admittedly huge MGS fanboy and when I first picked up SC, I hated it. I didn't realize at the time that I was trying to play it just as I would MGS and thus became very frusturated with it. 6 months later and nothing new to play, I pick up SC again and I became hooked once I started to play SC the way it was meant to be played. I just finished it finally the other day and have to say that it rivals MGS and any other single player gaming experience on the market.

Anyways, back on topic, I can't say that I would recommend MGS: TS at a 40 dollar price. I rented it and it just lacked a lot of the magic it had on the PSX. Maybe it was just the different controller, but I plan on waiting until a 20 dollar price drop.

go for the rogue ops..

But as i should put it, those two games are as different as MGS and Syphon Filter were on the PS1.
