Just bought a 360, what games do I need?

Yeah, so far I have BioShock, Gears, Crackdown, Viva Pinata and my brother just ordered Dead Rising, PDZ, and Saints Row. We'll play anything if it's fun, but we're not that big on sports games. Is Kameo worth getting?
 
I just got my first XBox 360 three weeks ago.

Checkout the Stranglehold demo, the full game gets better too. I like Ridge Racer 6 a lot, plus its cheap.

Dead or Alive 4, Condemed, Ninety-Nine Nights, Lost Planet, Earth Defense Force 2017, and Tomb Raider Legend are all good games.

I think Gears & Bioshock could be the best games. There are tons of demos on XBL so dig around there :)

My friend and I passed EDF 2017 a couple of weeks ago and it was an absolute blast! I never had such mindless fun LOL. The spiders were a PITA though :lol:
 
Forza, Oblivion, and Guitar Hero 2 if you don't have it on another system. Should just about cover all the bases for you.

The quote on the back of the box should be,"The best shitty game you will ever play!" I love the game. It is so much fun. I highly recommend this. It is $40 everywhere. Buy it!

well I bought a few games here and there for cheap (thanks to cag) and I just got my 360 the other day.

DoA 4
Perfect Dark Zero
Viva Pinata
Kameo
DoA X2

Now if you have Xbox live, just download the demos of the games you want to check out before you buy them. I demoed NBL 2k7 and it was just WOW. I haven't played a 2k sports game since my Dreamcast days. Glad to see that they are still doing a bang up job vs the fluff EA sports pumps out every year.
When the price drops I am going to get this game.

Another one you have to check out is Ace Combat 6. The demo is ok, but the graphics are amazing. Glad the ps3 didn't snag this one. That one is coming at the end of October.
 
Oblivion is great, but get the Game of the Year edition, and it has $40 of DLC with it, unless you find regular Oblivion for REALLY cheap. Kameo is definitely worth the $20 or so, if you are interested in it, you should like it. Guitar Hero 2 also, it is really really fun, and can have good local co-op/versus.

As for EDF, I don't have it, but if you want it, it should be $25 at WalMart, because it is not a YMMV situation. Also, it seems like you have a lot of single player games, but you should really get Xbox Live to fully enjoy Gears, and you can get XBL Arcade games too!
 
Seriously, i always recommend new 360 owners to just spend their first couple weeks downloading demos and XBLA trials. You can have a ton of fun just doing that, and then you will have a good idea of what you want to buy.

I was about to say the same exact thing. Seems like you have a great line up already. Just add Halo 3 and your all set :D
