well i just purchased a fat psp that was never touched for 100 bucks off a good friend. with it i got wipeout, a movie, and the charger. first question, was that a good deal? i was debating on getting a new psp slim but, now that i have some extra cash i was planning on just buying some games or a decent size memory stick. which leads to my second question. how many people actually buy games? most of my friends or people that i know that have a psp hack the hell out of it and barely buy games.

$100 sounds good if it is in new condition.

If you are planning to put custom firmware on it, I would suggest no less than a 4GB memory stick.

I've bought all of my games and most of the best games can be had for $20 or less nowadays.

Using CFW and "hacking the hell out" of your PSP is perfectly fine and you can get a lot of extra mileage out of your PSP that way. You should always buy your non-homebrew PSP games though and not pirate them. I've bought 15 games so far and most of the ppl I know actually buy their games but they only have 5 or fewer.

I buy games all the time. I also have custom firmware so if I want to trade a friend a game or sell it or something I make a backup just in case I ever have the itch to play it again. I don't see the problem in that especially since I'd already paid for it.

Also... $100 for the system, movie, Wipeout and charger was a super good deal. Wait until you put PS1, SNES, NES, and Gameboy Advance games on it. I play mine probably more than my 360.

well i bought 2 used games today at gamestop. monster hunter 2 and patapon used the 20% off coupon with edge stacked...hehe. now in order for me to play these games however i need to update the firmware. my firmware right now is 1.5 which is the perfect firmware for homebrew apps. i was reading on some websites saying not to upgrade. what i want to know is, how do i play these new games without changing the firmware? is there a way i can partition the memory stick to act as 2 firmwares? could i get some help instead of a psp-hack. com as a response
