I don't know if search is broken or what, but when I searched this forum for Just Cause 2, nothing came up. I am sure I saw a Just Cause 2 thread before.

Anyway, I have $300,000 in cash, and haven't bought anything, because I wasn't sure if I get to keep it. For example if I buy a vehicle (say the new pink ice cream truck), and destroy it, now that I have bought it, will there at least be other ice cream trucks in the game that I can steal? Or do I have to pay another $25,000 to get it again.

At least with weapons I would likely get more value out of them, but how hard is it to find ammo for guns that I buy? I never see those guns lying around so I wasn't sure if I'd find any ammo for them?

Also, what are the best weapons to upgrade? I did grenades because they are handy for destroying stuff. Was leaning towards pistols next, just because they are common.

I used up my C4 on one of the missions, and have never found any more. Anyone know of a stash of C4?

The only way to get the ice cream truck (or any DLC vehicle) is to buy it.

There are ammo boxes for all non DLC guns (Rico's Signature and Bullseye Assault are two that come to mind... might be the only two right now... not sure) around the islands.

The best weapons to upgrade are the ones you use most. That should be governed by your play style. Some people like to hang back, others like to run right up in the Panau's military's faces. Obviously they shouldn't prioritize upgrading the same weapons. Though there are enough upgrade crates to upgrade everything and have 50 parts left over.

A C4 crate can be found at the demo location. I don't have the coordinates handy, but it's near the middle of the lower left big island.
 
I am 7 hours in, and still have only unlocked pistols, mini-machine guns, machine gun. I haven't seen a sniper yet, but it says it is unlocked. Maybe I'll try buying it. What else am I going to spend my $$$ on.

I know a sniper ammo box is at X: 6522 Y:27628.

Have you seen the beached whale with the parts box inside of it yet? I was reading through a 360 FAQ for this game at Gamefaqs and they said there's a beached whale you gotta blow up to get to the box on the far eastern edge of the game world.
