OKay so I picked up the lite at CC with the free Brain training game. I also got Age or Empires. What are a few must have DS games? I haven't had a gameboy since the original one. I am going on a trip in a few weeks where I will be in a plane or train for long periods of time, so I am hoping the DS will keep me entertained. There are a couple I will be looking for. IE: Advanced wars and a Castelvania game, but what else is good?

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (most lasting single-player)
Mario Kart DS
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Animal Crossing: Wild World
New Super Mario Bros.
Tetris DS
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Not to overwhelm you.

New Super Mario Bros.
Phoenix Wright
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Sonic Rush (Must have for Sonic fans, at least.)
Animal Crossing
Mario Kart

You can search for these types of questions, you know. I'm not trying to be a dick ,but this type of thread comes up every other day.

Tetris DS
WarioWare Touched
Castlevania DoS
NSMB
and Mario Kart DS are all very solid titles.

There are many more worth owning, these are just my picks for cream of the crop :)

If you got Brain Age def pick up Brain Academy! Also like everyone says New Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, and Kirby.

ALSO you should def consider Super Princess Peach.. I love that game!

Just got my DS Lite and the New Super Mario Bros. today at EB Games with my store credit and was looking for suggestions too. Thanks guys for the suggestions because I will probably be looking for more games soon.

If Age of Empires is your cup of tea, I think you'll really enjoy Advance Wars DS. I have a hard time putting it down, ran my DS Lite battery to near-death last night playing it in fact. Just a really fun game.

Mario Kart DS is seriously the best DS game there is, especially if you liked any of the previous Mario Karts.

New Super Mario Bros. is pretty good if you loved the 2D mario games particulary the original Super Mario Bros because it plays the most like that one.

Trauma Center is a pretty interesting touch screen only game but it's a little too difficult sometimes. This is a very unique game though so if you're looking for fresh new never before played experience check this out.

Tetris DS is pretty addicting too, the puzzle mode is very addicting.

I advocate for Lost Magic as well. Its an RTS, flawed as it is, it is still quite fun, and add in WIFI multiplayer, and I recommend it highly.

The ones I keep with my ds.
Castlevania, Tetris, Metroid, NSMB (only about 35 gold coins left to collect) and Lost Magic.

Cheap ass games (can be found for 9.99 or less):

-Polarium
-Feel the Magic: XX/XY
-Bomberman (8 player multiplayer on a single cart)
-Puyo Pop Fever (8 player multiplayer on a single cart)

It's sad that Worms is the only game that's been mentioned that I don't have yet.

Now you're talking my CAG language! ;) Where are these games available at those prices?

A bunch of places. Toys R Us had all of them for 10 bucks at one time (besides Puyo Pop). They may still have Feel the Magic. A decent number of these could be picked up at KB Toys back when they were clearing them out. Best Buy currently has Bomberman and Feel the Magic for 15, less if they're on a store clearance (many of them are) and Pac n Roll (think Marble Madness) and Pac Pix for 10. The vast majority of these though have to be found through bargain hunting. Most of these you have to have some luck at finding though (or be willing to buy used).

Lots of good recommendations here. I went the EB (hate that place) and picked up Advanced Wars DS and Castelvania DS. Those are pretty sweet. I love advanced wars.....and my Gf loves Brain Age. After 2 tests I am 36 and she is 31......i hate it.

Also any place online that has conistently good prices on DS games? EB is pretty horrible anymore and Gamefly doesnt have many DS games.

I don't think many people said Kirby Canvas Curse! Get that! ALSO Zoo Keeper can be really fun and can be found really cheap! :)
