Got it a few days ago, I have Uncharted 1 & 2 at the moment. Any tips or recommendations? I'm only looking for PS3 exclusives.

ps: the cheaper the better;)

Resistance 1 and 2, Killzone 2 can be found for pretty cheap. Above average SP for all 3 and the MP still have a strong community.

Valkyria Chronicles can be found for pretty cheap as well.

Little Big Planet is a great exclusive for it too and IIRC the regular version just got a price drop. Both Ratchet & Clank titles as well. Plus some good exclusive RPGs if that's your thing.

If you like RPG's definitely pick up Valkyria Chronicles, one of the greatest games this generation. Also inFAMOUS, Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.

To be fair I'm going to have to let him know that Valkyria Chronicles, while a great game, may easily turn people off with its ridiculously corny narrative.

Anyways, I'm not sure why the OP only wants exclusives.

Infamous and if you like challenges Demon's Souls. DS is one of my favorites in a long time....although it can be a bit frustrating at times, but terribly enjoyable.

LBP is good, Uncharted - without saying. MGS4 - ah, if you liked the others and like playing a game during movie breaks.

Welcome to the family...

Little Big Planet is a game you MUST play. Rent it to see if you like it. Not everyone loves it but it is something that every PS3 owner should try.

Metal Gear Solid 4 if you have played at least 1 and 2. Other wise the story will probably confuse you to hell. Great game for only $30.

The Ratchet and Clank games are great with Tools of Destruction being my favorite.

Infamous and Heavenly Sword are games that you should really give a go with, especiall if you are an action lover.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is good for a quick racing fix if you are waiting for Gran Turismo 5. Easily find it for $20 these days.

Give MLB 10 The Show a try if you are a baseball fan. Most realistic baseball game out there.

White Knight Chronicles and Valkryia Chronicles are a couple of RPGs that you should check out if that is your think. WKC is more of a traditional JRPG while VC is a SRPG.

I wish I could say MAG, since it is a great game, but the numbers look like they are starting to drop ever since Battlefield Bad Company 2 came out. You might want to avoid that.

Oh yea, if you have the balls for a tough as hell game, Demon's Souls.

MGS4 definitely and if your confuse they have a dlc that explains history of metal gear for free. Theres also ratcher and clank if you like platformers.

I've never understood the 'list only exclusives' thing either, but I guess the OP just wants to play the games specifically made for the PS3 hardware to see what it's truly capable of.

Personally though, I have 90% multiplatform stuff and maybe 10% exclusive in my current list of games, since I just don't give a shit and most of the 'exclusives' are not 10/10 like so many people rave about them being.

Anyway, if the OP wants something exclusive to play, I would also recommend Demon's Souls. It's frustrating....yet fun. You will die ALOT in it though, OP, so consider yourself warned.

resistance, really? skip that crap. kz2 is good but uc2 is the one to have and you already have it.

Stuff you can get sort of cheap now that I would definitely recommend are:

Infamous
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction
LittleBigPlanet
Buzz Quiz World

PSN:
Super Stardust HD
PixelJunk Monsters
Wipeout HD

Oh man why hasn't any mentioned Uncharted or Uncharted 2? These are a couple of my favorite games of all time! Right under the Metroid series of course. But yeah Uncharted is a greatest hit I'm pretty sure and Uncharted 2 is definately worth the money.

Hey troll. Resistance is a AAA quality title and just as good as Gears of War. The Multiplayer for Resistance is 1000000 times better than GOW.

The OP says he already has those games. (first post)

I also got a new PS3 last Friday, all I got is God of War III and Hot Shots Golf. Waiting for a B2G1 Free from Gamestop to burn my store credit. The model I got is CECH-2001A, what's the difference with the 2000 model ?

I have to disagree on infamous. It's a good game the first time, but after that, they make you play a second time for a trophy. If you miss any trophies the second time, you have to play the game a third.
Plus the enemies are annoying and glitchy (running back and forth into walls)

My Recommendations:
Resistance
Resistance 2
Killzone 2
Hot Shots Golf Out of Bounds
God of War III
Warhawk
Buzz Quiz world

First off, people are allowed differing opinions(unless you're in Communist country). Second, you have to understand that not everyone plays multiplayer or at least not for every game.

I personally couldn't play much of the mp for the original Battlefield: BC because I couldn't do like I could in GTA IV and get into a vehicle and run people over while trying to shoot them. Same deal with the mp for Uncharted 2. My buddies loved the DM/TDM/etc modes but the only mp I liked on there were the 'story' mode ones.

I call people out when they say a game is crap without posting why.

first of all, settle down, take it easy, the op asked for opinions, so i gave mine, i'm sorry if i offended you. there's no need for name calling.

second, ok fine, i guess then i can call people out when they say a game is so great, so what's so great about resistance? specifically are both games better than say kz2 or uc2, i've played all four games, i missed what was so great about resistance. it's my opinion, just like you think resistance is AAA game for ps3, which it isn't. but for fun go ahead and enlighten me. let's break it down, briefly here are my opinions. graphically both of them were not even at uncharted 1 levels. gameplay wise they were slow and chunky. story was ok, but not really that great. i guess the sound was good. you say the mp, i haven't checked but seriously people still play that online, to each their own. nowadays both are solid $5 games. my opinion again, there are far better shooters on the ps3, go buy them instead. i'll give resistance 3 a try when it comes out because i'll try any game, i won't close myself off from good games, i'm sure it will be better than the first two.

i think the resistance games are kinda funny because when they came out, they were the defacto ps3 shooter, so a lot of ps3 fanboys defend these games to the end of the earth even though, i think most people agree, the 360 had better games, specifically gears was the game that resistance was always compared with. this is at the time, i'm not talking about now, that's a different debate, that i don't want to deal with and i wouldn't agree with it now anyway. the fanboys need to move on, stop claiming these were great. they weren't, the ps3 has better games now. and they will keep getting better of course, but, let's forget about these old games and move on to the superior new ones.

i do like gears of war 1/2, but i don't even know why you are bringing that up. i thought the op asked about ps3 games, exclusives in fact, maybe you know something i don't but i don't think we'll see that on a sony console for sometime. and for the record, gears 1/2 are so much better than resistance 1/2, it's not even close in my book. that being said, gears wouldn't be in my top 10 recommended games for the 360 nowadays. op if you are interested in a very dated shooter by all means look at resistance.

People have differing opinions of games, but I guess they have to give you a full dissertation of the reasons why they think it isn't 'the best evar'?

You liked the games, some people disliked the games and some(like me) don't play the multiplayer of many games because they 1) hate being owned by the morons who play it 24/7 and/or 2) because of how the games are played online.

Online modes and multiplayer modes in games are not the be all end all that so many think they are. It's a nice bonus, but if the mp favors those who spend inordinate amounts of time playing and practicing versus those like me who just pick it up to play online for the hell of it and don't wanna have to spend months 'practicing', then it sucks(for me anyway).
Resistance 1 is a good shooter.
AAA? Honestly? Maybe I need to give it another chance, maybe I'm wrong on this one.

Well above average graphics, decent storyline, difficult gameplay and one of the better multiplayers on the market. People still play it today over 3 years after release.

The OP asked for good exclusive games that are cheap. I said Resistance 1 and 2 because they meet the criteria. Good, exclusive and cheap. OP could probably get both for 30-35 used tops combined.

Cheapest, I have zero problems with someone not liking a game and stating why. I do have problems when someone just bashes a game without any reasons.

Ok, fair enough, maybe crap is a bit harsh. when I played it I didn't strike me as anything more that a very very average shooter. and i do like shooters. there have been much worse shooters that is for sure. but you know any game that is 3 years old and the multiplayer is still going strong is really saying something, like halo3, the devs must have done something right. so clearly some people like it and for them that's awesome. maybe i'll give it another go, in general i'll play any shooter if i'm bored enough, but with my very full queue it might never happen and if it's a good game, then it's my loss. i didn't realize the op was looking for cheap games, ha even though this is cag, i thought he only wanted ps3 exclusives. i'm sure you'll agree at this point there are better exclusives, maybe not for the price, but there are better now. that's a good thing on both sides, there are better exclusives, and if resistance is good, cheap resistance is good also.

ok you win, from now on i'll explain my definition of crap a bit more.

Yeah, Resistance 1 was the definition of "average" for me when I played it at launch -- as in, it was a shooter and it worked. That was it.

PC shooters were far ahead of it back then.
