And I'm super, ultra, mega, Championship Edition disappointed (plus alpha)

Instead of listing all the bad things about it I'll list all the good things:

Optimus Prime
Megatron (Awsome!)
Solid Snake
Simon Belmont
The ooogee ooggee Transforming sound.
The Transformers Stage with Devestator in the BG
Dracula Castle Stage with Remixed Castlevania Music
Picking diffrect colors ex: Snake can be Pliskin and Tuxedo and Optimus has a black color which makes him look like Scourge
Library Mode is kinda cool

So if you want to get this game, buy with caution. In fact I'm think I'm gonna get rid of mine soon after I play it enough.

My friend hates SSBM as I beat him all the time at it. If I get the game at least he can be Optimus Prime while getting beaten down

That would probably work, because Optimus Prime's Semi Mode attack is just BROKEN.
 
I played Dream Mix for the PS2 a while back. It's a (believe it or not) simplified version of Smash Bros. There's no items to pick up and use on the playing field and the environments aren't nearly as active and interesting as the ones in SSBM. It's definitely not as polished feeling either, but it's still nice to see a game like SB without Nintendo characters, even though there's really only a handful of characters in Dream Mix that anyone knows of or will care about. I definately wouldn't buy it but if you can borrow from a friend or any other means I'd recommend at least checking it out.
 
Characters don't have alot of moves and all play basiclly the same. That's my main beef. The only exeption is the the 2 or 3 special moves everyone has.

Also their isn't alot of depth. Once the game is beaten with everyone, and the game is very easy, that's it, their isn't much more to do.
