Just saw Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for $15...

I bought it for forty when It came out and i loved it. I went through it 5 times. Well worth the money. But if you don't have a GBA SP, you could think twice about it. It is very hard to see in any light.

He lies! :D

Seriously, I have an original GBA and I didn't have very many problems. If need be, a light for the GBA is cheap (the Floodlight is great). In any case, it's a great game. I'd reccomend getting it if you get another chance.

My question is, what happened to Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance? That game totally disappeared before I had a chance to find a cheapass deal on it.

Circle of the Moon can be found fairly cheap at a few different places, so as far as a price goes, you did not miss out on much. But you did pass up a great game, so you should snag it the next time you see it for that reason alone.

OMFG!Theres a problem with my game.Whenever i try to enter this door right before the chapel the game messes up.Im trying to look for a way to fix it.If i cant im not sure if i have the reciept.Luckily they had other copies for 15 bucks.

I saw AOS at my Target for 15 bucks, but I didn't pick it up because I already beat it. AOS is the best GBA Castlevania, then COTM, and HOD being last.

Aria of Sorrow is definitely the best. The worst by far is Harmony of Dissonance which in my opinon had the most poorly designed castle and boring enemies although it does have some bad ass songs in it. HOD is hard to find, I had to buy it used on Ebay, so I'm pretty sure it is out of print.

Circle of the Moon is good, it's close to Aria of Sorrow but since AOS is newer it has better art and more fluid animation.

I've never been a big Castlevania fan - the last one I remember playing a lot was the SNES one...but hey, when they get cheap enough, there's not too many games I won't play ;)

Its funny how what seems to be the best 2D games are on the Gameboy, yet they either ignore the current consoles or only make 3D versions of the series. This goes for Castlevania, among other games.

I agree Aria of Sorrow is the best, HOD is the worst. HOD is the longest, but it is so easy and everything is so un-memorable with many bad design.

Castlevania:Cricle of the moon for 15 buckS? And you didnt buy it? You missed out. I got my copy for 40. That was a good deal.

I picked up Castlevania:COTM at a local FYE for $14.99. I like it, but recently I picked up Castlevania:AOS (off ebay) and I've been playing it on and off like mad. Can't say I've played HOD, but from what I've heard, I'm probably better off. Playing AOS, I thought it felt a lot like SOTN (well, a lot more than some of the others). Maybe that's why I like it so much. Anyways, I'd agree AOS is probably the best, followed closely by COTM.

i have COTM and AOS. I got AOS for 7.48 at target :)D) and 12.99 used for circle of the moon, at my local gamestop (buy 2, get one used game free deal schmeal, with my GBA) I feel personally like I have the best castlevania games for the GB, ever! (imo)

Wow, what's with all the hating on HoD? Personally, I think the games got progressively better with each release, culminating in Aria of Sorrow. I honestly think it's a toss-up between AoS and SotN for best Castlevania ever, AoS is THAT good. But seriously, after playing through HoD I went back to CotM and found it very sluggish and difficult to play in comparison. CotM got a huge amount of positive press at its release because it was the best game among a large lineup of generally mediocre games when the GBA was released, but they improved the series with each subsequent Castlevania game. Don't get me wrong, CotM is definitely an excellent game and is definitely worth the purchase, but give HoD the credit its due as well. Or not, I guess...

wow I did the same thing, but had a completly opposite opinion, that HOD was the sluggish one. Not only that but HOD IMO was one of the worst designed CV's ever, still it was fun.

I dissagree with you on yourtake with the GBA launch title quality as well. FPW and THPS2 were both great games that easily rivaled COtM at lauch (once again IMO).
