KB Toys Markdown.....

DashDangers

CAG Veteran
I apologize if this has already been posted in another thread, but I just came from my local KB Toys and they has just marked down a bunch of games. If I remember correctly, they were:

(All of the following are $4.99!)

PS2-

Midway Arcade Tresasures 2
Enter the Matrix
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
Sly 2: Band of Thieves
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Aresenal
Harry Potter: Quidditch Cup

GC-

Legends of Wrestling 2

XB-

Hitman: Contracts

Just a heads-up for all my fellow CAG's!!

The Montclair, CA KB was sold out of everything when I was there on Thursday.

If someone picked up an extra "Sly 2"; "Ratchet & Clank: UYA"; or "WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw" for $4.99 at the sale, I'll pay $10 each + shipping or trade for games on my Trade List.

The Fat Wallet "list" is longer than the ones posted here, and the FW poster notes approx 400 titles.

Chicago: as of ~6PM, the LincolnwoodTC KB didn't have anything advertised, and their games selection is all behind the front registers. Pain in the ass to have the clerks look for specific titles. They didn't have what I was looking for, and I didn't ask about any clearance. The rest of IL (not necessarily Chicagoland) has quite a few KBs, so good luck to others looking for stuff.

Similar to the BB sale last week, KBToys has a vast selection of video games on clearance for the PS1, PS2, GBA, GC, PS2, & XBOX consoles.

I am personally confirming this clearance and have attached three receipt scans - two from yesterday, one from today (they are fuzzy because the print is extremely light on the originals). The manager at one KB was kind enough to show me the list (approximately 3 pages, with about 400 games).

Listed below is a SMALL selection of games that I remember/bought. Information also includes verification from the pages of CAG (thanks). Some stores have stickered the games and placed them in bins, while others have not. Either ask to see the list, or have the prices checked."

ALL NOTED GAMES ARE $5

You mean: "Don't buy Fight Club"? What's that have to do with this sale?

Went to KB yesterday, passed on the only game they had left: Enter the Matrix. I was hoping for a Hitman Contracts PS2.

All mine had were a bunch of Enter the Matrix, Legends of Wrestling 2, and Dragonball Z Bodakai. Needless to say, i bought none.
Anyone have a complete list of the games on discount?
The only games on discount at my local KB were Jack and Shit. They were in a special 2-pack.

If you haven't gone to a KB yet, you're probably too late.

I went to KB in Rockville, MD. Bought the 1 copy of UYA. They had 1 each of Matrix, Budokai, Medal of Honor (1st one I think) left if anyone cares.

this was today around 3

Um, not interested in the games that are remaining. But where is there a KB in Rockville, MD? Do you mean Montgomery Mall?

I'll be in the general area of a KB tomorrow, so I'm gonna check it out then. It's in a mall, though, so if I can get Katamari Damacy at EB or GS, then it won't be a total wasted trip. I might even preorder Lost in Blue for this week...!

The KB in Portland, ME didn't have much of anything.

PS2:
Enter the Matrix
DBZ: Budokai

GC:
Legends of Wrestling II

That was all they had out of the whole list, needless to say, I was disappointed. :(

Amazing! The ONE KB left in the Portland, OR, area, was stocked with a buttload of those as well! I picked up about 10 to use in EB trade-in deals. I hear Jack/Shit is PO. :D

Seriously, the clerk said that yesterday they had Matirx, Spawn and Dragonball Z, but I missed them. Whoop-de-fucking-doo. What a waste of time. Why do these crap titles sell out so quickly but much better games sit around on clearance at a nearby TRU for so much longer?

Some people just buy games by the look and aren't smart enough to check if the game is actually worth spending cash on.

On another note, no KBtoys around here anymore, they went out of business...makes sense though, their prices were insanely high and there was a TRU nearby.

Slim pickings for me... the only games they had were Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

Oh well, I guess better than nothing.

Those are the two titles that I and others are primarily looking for.

Another unfortunate soul fallen prey to the sweet yet disturbing smell of sarcasm.

Went back today and picked up crash nitro racing or whatever. Crash Team Racing was one of my favorite games for the PS1, hopefully this ones good too, but it got released like last year and no online play? wow

Thanks a million OP! :D I picked up Ratchet & Clank: UYA and Sly 2.

I also grabbed an extra copy of Ratchet & Clank: UYA. If anyone has an extra Wave Race or Viewtiful Joe 2 from this sale or Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Xbox) from the Best Buy sale, I would trade it for any one of those. I might also consider trading it for Treasure Planet. If I don't get any trade offers within a few days, I would be willing to sell it for cost + shipping.

Thanks for posting, DashDangers. I picked up a couple copies of R&C UYA.

If anyone has an extra Sly 2, I'd trade a R&C UYA for it.

Edit: Found a trader, R&C UYA is no longer available.

A couple of days ago I was able to get Ratchet & Clank 3, ATV Offroad Fury 3, and Disney's Treasure Planet. All were below the cash register and only shown to me after I asked if they had any $5 games left. R & C 3 actually scanned for $19.99 and had to be manually adjusted down to $4.99 since the $4.99 price tag was on it.

Is the first DBZ game with getting, seeing as how the other 2(soon 3), are out? Thanks for the list again OP.

Interesting - just a note that people should keep looking. While I found squat in the Portland, OR area just the day after this was first posted, I did find a Sly 2 in Springfield, VA TODAY (Oct 3rd!). They also had a bunch of R&C UYA but they were tagged $19.99 and rang up $19.99. The Sly 2 was also tagged $19.99 but rang up $4.99 - go figure. They had more games there than I've ever seen at a KB (which is still not that much) but I didn't have the list from CAG - I just remembered those 2 when I was there - so they might have others.

Was anyone around Chicagoland able to get Ratchet & Clank for $4.99? I found a copy at a local KB, but it scans at $19.99 and none of the clerks seem to know about it beiing marked down.

It's worth $5 just to be able to experience the story mode. Everything else it's sequels does much better.
