Hey all!

First off, super big apologies if this has been posted. The valid dates are 9/12 - 12/31, which makes me think these have been in circulation for a while. I follow the trade-in thread quite a bit, and don't recall hearing about these. Maybe I have selective memory? Did a search but didn't see anything...

Anyway, I signed up for Best Buy's GamerZone Unlocked about a month and a half ago. I still haven't received my first issue of the magazine in the mail, but today I got these coupons:

6312294277_c227fda6b7_z.jpg

Pretty good offers; better than normal throw-away trash, that's for sure. So, yeah, keep an eye out!

Huh, I was talking to the gaming supervisor at my store about the coupon and to her knowledge it would work (we both remarked at how crazy it was to have a coupon like that on Black Friday with no stipulations regarding its' use with sale prices, or special events). I won't make a scene but I can certainly tell you I will at least once, politely, point out to the manager that it specifically doesn't exclude those things if the system doesn't just allow it.

I can see the $29.99 and $34.99 online prices for U3 and AC:R (and they're staring right back), but I'm not budging--I've got a B2G1 coupon, darn it, and I'm going to try to use it (I decided to get a PS3 copy of RAGE to trade in to Amazon for $32.20--already locked in--since I can see it dropping to $20 before long)!

No doubt. I'm still hoping to grab AC: Revelations(to let my one buddy play/keep) and two others to play through really quick and dump off to wherever once done.:)

Getting that Amazon credit for RAGE will dampen the cost somewhat, as well. ;)

I was stuck in the same boat this morning until I remembered what my Best Buy was really like. They'll gladly refuse coupons of any sort for any reason they can make up if they don't ring up automatically. If I was planning on going out BF hunting anyways I'd still make a go of it, but since this was my only destination I chose to buy online this morning and hang on to the b2g1 coupon.
The only odd thing about the $29.99 prices is that it's "after savings."

Not sure how it's gonna ring up but with an override it looks like:

Uncharted 3 59.99
30.00 discount

If it were PM'ed down to $29.99. That definitely works w/ the B2G1, but if it's ringing up some other random way (package deal) then it won't work.
One of the mods (may have been Pooky or Io) said they used their coupon on AC:B CE when it was marked down to the DOTD $20 price and it worked on it even though the original price was $99. So that's where the whole theory of it stacking on BF deals came about originally.

If I didn't already pick up Uncharted 3 from Amazon for $40 after a $20 promo credit from another new release I probably wouldn't have bought it just yet. I may just try to find some non BF games for $40 or under if I can't find something that's on sale tonight to try and grab, though I'm definitely trying to keep them UNDER $40 apiece and all the same price.

I'm currently having an internal conflict as to whether I should stick to my "Buy U3, AC:R, and RAGE with B2G1 coupon, trade in RAGE to Amazon" plan...Here are the facts:

-I wouldn't be able to get to my BBY until maybe 10am tomorrow morning.

-Aside from BBY, the only other physical store I would visit is Walmart (located very close to my BBY) to try to score Yakuza 4 for $10 (and possibly check out the circulating rumor of Skyrim for $28).

-Gas is expensive.

-I have a backlog of about 50 games, including AC: Brotherhood.

-I can't see U3 dropping as low as $29.99 again in the near future (maybe in a year), so if I bought only one game, it would likely be that one (and I would get it online from BBY.com, but then would it be worth traveling to just Walmart?).

-BBY.com still has U3 available, but I don't know how long that will last.

-I have about $80 in BBY GCs.

-Honestly, I could probably wait for AC:R to drop to $25, or maybe get it from Kmart if they have a good deal next month like they did for Brotherhood last December ($39.99 w/ $20 coupon).

-I'm currently earning $25/month in Amazon credit through Swagbucks, so it's not like I'm pining for the credit from RAGE.

-If I didn't use the B2G1 coupon for the aforementioned plan, I have no clue if/when and on what I'd use it before its 12/31 expiration date.

Does anyone have any advice?
The real reason I'm even going in to BBY on BF is to grab my Zelda 3DS bundle which they're holding for me. No rush to go in at midnight because it's being held but I figured I might as well just join the fun.

Even if the games sell out, it'd be easy to go in later in the day and get them through OMS and try the coupons out when the lines are apeshit crazy.

Stores are getting a shipment in (my store is getting over 9000 items on Friday), so they'll replenish midday.
Also finally getting a 3DS (zelda bundle)
I'm heading to GS with a DSLite to trade in - no tax (using credit + $70 trade in value for DS lite) while it's $20 more at GS that is close to what tax will be plus $70 for a lite is at least $50 more than they sell for on craigs with no hassle of the buyer ....

Even before that I PM'ed AC:R via Walmart and it worked at $39.99.

Again, it depends on what "after savings" means when ringing the games up. I didn't buy a single thing from BBY when their sale went live online because I'd rather get these games for...

b2g1 Coupon worked no problem on sale prices, and it takes off the last game scanned not the cheapest. I got batman, forza, and ac:r for 65+ tax.

Wow. Free $60 or expensive Collector's Edition game as long as it's scanned last? :whistle2:k

EDIT: Whoops, forgot about the coupon being $39.99 and under only.

And there it is. The b2g1 is glitched and it also works on bF prices. This was the reason I withheld talking about it till BF.

Good luck to all. Profit before they fix it

Would the last game would still have to qualify for the B2G1 terms, such as all three would have to be under $39.99?

And for the coupon working 'no problem' that means it was automatic at the register? That helps to avoid a manager override.

I didn't try anything over 39.99, since it says it is only up to 39.99 on the front of the coupon. So you could get 2 30 dollar games and get the 39.99 game for free. (if scanned in that order).

Oh wait, I'm an idiot. I got ahead of myself. I forgot about the coupon being $39.99 and under only. So, you are correct, I would assume.

Yes, automatic at the register.

Thanks Prinny. Tempting to buy 2 cheap games like Fantastic Pets and Gears Triple Pack with a BF3 now. It's a little risky though in that the employee would have to scan your games in the right order to max out your deal. I'm thinking I shouldn't bother and just go with 3 $30 games altogether. Maybe throw in another set of 3 for good measure.

Just picked up uncharted 3 forza 4 and batman (with the robin code!!!) for $60+tax. Like the previous posters said coupon took off the last game scanned (forza in my case :D) ill be posting my codes/online passes in their respective free code threads (except for robin) now back to Walmart to return another copy of barman I bought an hour ago.

Can't wait to try the coupon later today. Stopped by Best Buy at 12:30 and it was just too retarded so waiting until things die down. They still had plenty of the games that were on sale.

yep glitch rocked. coupon for b2g1f worked with sale prices and rang up last game as free. so $30 dead island, $30 need for speed the run and $35/free Assassin's Creed Revelations. 3 games for $65, woot! i was thinking of getting just 2 and flipping unch3, making it a b1g1, but 3 games for 22.xx is great. considering 2 came out last week, woot

Please remove the fucking coupon SKU from your receipt. They will kill all the coupons if everyone and their mother without a GCU account starts using these.

I was just coming here to verify that the B2G1 coupon DOES work on the BF sales prices for the $29.99-$34.99 games. I tried it around 2am or so, but I just got home now after going to both WM and Target.

Oh and BTW....if you can find the bundled version of Arkham City with Arkham Asylum GOTY at WalMart, it will ring up for the $28 promo price. I found two of the bundles for :360: at my one WM here, tried it and it worked.

Now I'm off to set up my 32" LCD HDtv I bought with my flipping monies to play the PS3 on.:whee:

It worked for me: Unchart3 ($30) + NBA2k12 ($35) + AC: Rev ($35) purchased, and the kicker was AC:Rev as the free game (even though UC3 was the cheapest). Total price for the 3 w/tax was $69. I didn't even notice this at the register since it's so chaotic on BF, I was just happy the CSR took the coupon without complaint. Plus, she didn't even keep the coupon, she handed it back to me. Although at this point, I'm really not sure I can think of 3 more games I would want that are all under $39.

Arkham, UMVC3, FIFA. Go get em'!

Despite the line wrapped completely around the Best Buy building, and behind two other buildings, after waiting 2.5 hrs, there was plenty of games still remaining. Definitely worth it. No issues with the B2G1, came off automatically, ended up with BF3, ACR, and Madden NFL 12.
They refused to scan it at my Best Buy, even adding that "The prices are low enough."

I hate that Best Buy.
Call corporate!!!

Store took my coupon no problem!!

Got NFS TR. BF3, and Dead Island for $65!!!

I'm trying to debate whether I need to go to BB to use my coupon. The price of each game after tax at BB with this coupon is roughly a $5 savings as compared to an AMZ lightning deal. It's not that great the more I think about it. The issue is availability now.

You may not wanna have people call corporate, since Mike-BBY from the BB forums already said that the coupons 'will not work on BF sales'.

http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Reward...-Gamers-Club-Unlocked-Packet/m-p/374596#M3409

Thank you for bringing this up. I have communicated with Reward Zone on this and they confirmed these coupons are not stackable with sales prices, which means they will also not be eligible on Black Friday sales.

Thanks,

They had TONS of dupes at my BB of every sale game imaginable. However, their list was incomplete(missing Dead Island and Deus Ex) and I had forgotten I intended on buying Deus Ex as opposed to RAGE. Oh well. I'm not gonna press my luck by going in later today to try seeing if they'll lemme swap out Rage for Deus Ex.

I'm still happy with my deal, which came out to essentially $21 a game. After I sell AC: B to my one buddy, I'll have paid $42 for two fairly new release titles.:applause:

Yeah I'm not worried about BB. It's AMZ's LD's that I'm worried about. I don't see another BF3 offering at the moment (that last minute add on last night caught me at the wrong time). =/

I'm pretty much done for right now. I have 3 new games to add to my backlog(Driver San Fran, Rage, NFS: The Run) and I have ZERO BB credit left as of now after buying a 32" tv from em tonight.

As for Amazon I have $15 left on there($10 promo credit, $5 n change in real cred), so unless they put up Heavy Rain with the DLC on it as a LD and include free shipping then I won't bother, since I don't wanna pay for shipping outta pocket or have to find another $10 worth of shit to grab to get FSSS.

Well I am very happy with how this turned out but man it was a reminder why I do not go out for BF. I left my house at 2:40 am and got home at 4:30 for 3 games. I also had to pay cash because all my credit is tied up in games I need to return now. It was crazy how busy the store was and sheer amount of DVDs, games, and CDs that were strewn throughout the store was disturbing. I luckily found a 360 copy of Batman. No problem with Uncharted and Assassin's Creed:Rev. Stood in line for 70 min...only saving grace was the cute girl I was talking with but she was younger and I am old so I could only dream of my better days. :) At first the cashier said they could not do it and then the manager said it has to be regular prices. I just pointed out the coupon says nothing to that effect and she read it over and agreed. I got all 3 for $63 but somehow it went on my Dads RZ account (I am a Jr.) even though I used my phone number. Need to get that mess sorted out.

Now I am going to have a shit load of games to return: 2 Batmans, 2 UC3s, 2 BF3, 2 AC:Rev and 1 SR3. I think I will stagger them out.

Was able to get Batman: AC w/ Robin Code, Uncharted 3, and Ultimate MvC rang up free. I originally thought Marvel rang up free since the other two games are normally 59.99 and Marvel is 39.99. But reading the last few posts I guess it was free because it was scanned last. They were nice though and handed me back the B2g1 coupon. Pretty satisfied, but I won't be participating in another BF B&M sale for games and movies again unless it's just crazy low prices.

Glad to hear the coupon worked so well for people. I thoroughly enjoyed my sleep last night so I feel that was worth the missed opportunity for me. Here's hoping some sort of deal crops up before the coupon expires!
can anyone confirm the coupon works with unlocked membership?
I am not sure what you mean. If you mean you have the coupon then yes it has been working. I used it at about 5 am EST. Still was glitched where it took the 3rd game as free even if more expensive. All still need to be below $40 though.
