This is more evidence that the Mexicanization of America is eroding our society... or something.

Odds are this may have a lot less sugar than regular frosted flakes.

Odds are it is flavored with real sugar instead of HFCS.

Went to Your Favorite Retailer looking for cereal, and then came across a whole shelf of these with no English on them.

And yes, I bought one.

What kind of shelf? An end cap? One of the shelves in the bargain aisle? A free-standing display shelf? Or were they in a regular aisle?

A lot of times grocery distributors get deals on product from a manufacturer for one reason or another. They'll offer to sell it in bulk to a retailer who then allocates (read forces the store to take it) it to stores in the chain. Each individual store then sells them as a limited time special but then the item never comes back in stock. I'm guessing that's what this was.

In a regular aisle where my Kellogg's Frosted Flakes would normally be.

WTF is a zucarita?

I'm still going to go out on a limb and say it was a spot buy unless you live close to the border.

'Azucar' is the Spanish word for sugar and 'ita' is a suffix that roughly connotates 'little.' So 'Zucaritas' approximates to Sugaries or Little Sugaries. It should be noted that, like most Spanish product labels in America, that is a suuuuuuper Mexican name for the cereal.
