Band Hero is 99.99$ on Xbox 360 & PS3 at Hmv.ca and in stores.

Found out about this last week after I bought it at Best Buy, so I was able to price match it. BB was selling it for $199, so $99 from HMV is amazinggggg (imo), espeically since it was a gift for my sibling. Gotta love saving money around the holidays. :cool:

I'm just wondering how you guys price matched it. Did use the HMV flyer (I don't get one in my paper) or did you do it another way?

Depends where you PM, at Future Shop or Best Buy, the printout of the item on hmv.ca is enough (They'll often check a second time on their own computers just to be sure). Places like Walmart won't do it unless you have a flyer. Of course, YMMV for all of this.

No way, I just got the game alone for $70 at Best Buy. But it was part of buy 2 get 1 free so it was really like $50 I guess. Hmm.

Rock Band has music from all types of genres and artists. Band Hero is Activision's family friendly alternative to their guitar hero franchise. It appeals to 9 year old girls who like Taylor Swift and Hilary Duff, or Greg Miller from IGN :lol:.

But to completely honest, the only reason Activision released it under the name "band hero" was to confuse holiday shoppers who don't know about this kind of stuff. If grandparents are going into the store to buy that "Rock and Roll band game thing", they are more likely to pick up "band hero" because it says band in the title (not guitar for guitar hero) and also the bands included are very radio friendly, not obscure bands like Radio Head.

It got taken off today I think, I saw it on their site yesterday. It should still be that price in-stores if you call them.
