Killzone: Liberation coop between PS Vita and PSP original model?

I own the original UMD for my PSP and was able to dl Chapter 5, but I never finished the game, due to its .. quirkiness.

I saw that the Vita has the game available for download and I was wondering if ad hoc coop can be played between the PS Vita and original model PSP?

Thanks, would be appreciated! I've been asking gamefaqs and youtube but no one responds..

It was an announced feature and there's a CS page on the PS site about using PSP Ad Hoc on Vita to further the notion that it should work:
