King of Colosseum imports on sale at Play-Asia.com

These are indeed awesome games.

Jaybird- have you considered installing a fliptop mod? It's inexpensive and if you are patient and can devote a quiet hour or so of your time you can do it yourself pretty easily. I can verify that 99% of all imports I've tried on the fliptop have worked.

guys how come there is no freeloader or anything for ps2. i want to play all these jap wrestling games but ppl keep telling me you have to mod your ps2. that blows

Where can I find one of those?

PS2Cover.com sells flip tops. I looked into it but it seemed too difficult for me (I have no skills when it comes to that type of stuff) so I bought a Japanese PS2 instead.

OK, I'm thinking of getting the flip tops. Has anyone tested it with these games?

Also hat are the differences in the two games? Should I get both?

And is it really hard to navigate the menus (since they're in Japanese)? There was a website that had a translation for Fire Pro & that came in real handy.

First of all, glad I looked. I was gonna post about this, but obviously you all already did. ;)

I'm a total mark for wrestling games. Even bad ones usually end up in my collection. Was pysched to get the first 3 Toukon games for the PS1, and a couple other titles when a local game shop sold their rentals. Great stuff. ;)

ANYWAY... I jumped on these. Play Asia is where I got my Panasonic Q Game Boy Player and what a great deal these games are. I went ahead and had them shipped in a box, for the extra protection, but either way should be great.

Is anyone interested in buying a Japanese PS2 to play these games? I have an 18000 series that I bought back when Tekken 4 came out. I've used it to play that and the All Star wrestling titles, but overall it's seen very little use, and I should still have the RCA cable, DVD remote and receiver, and an original controller. The PS2 has been in my closet since I got my PS2 modded, and I don't need to switch between systems to play ALL my games. Would be willing to let it go for less than a new one, and I'm sure it's got LOTS of use left in it.

Just send me a PM if your interested. I can do some looking and offer a fair price.

Both Of These Are Also Pretty Cheap On E-Bay These Days. There both greta games, even better if your have the hard drive to combine the discs

I've got the HD, but I've got HD Loader on it. Now I could format and start over, since I've found I rarely use HD Loader anyway. Most of the time I forget it's even on the system.

But I wonder, is there a way to combine the games while USING HDLoader? May be worth a GameFAQS search.

To answer my own question, FUSION of Red and Green isn't possible with HDLoader. Folks at Monitor's site report that you get lockups, and it just doesn't work... which I kinda expected.

However, I'm not sure I'll be playing these games that much, so I doubt I'll bother to get another HD just so I can merge the two games in my PS2. ;)

I'll probably just stick with one disc or the other when I do play. Though the potential for combining bother rosters, etc. is SWEET! :)

Did anyone else go for this deal at Play-Asia? Did anyone else read that the games wouldn't be "new"? While the copies I received are in plastic, it's not the usual shrink-wrap, and there are NO stickers with the usual UPC codes.

I'm about to open these up and make sure they aren't scratched to hell. If they work I guess it's ok, but I didn't expect used games for my $40 + shipping. Oh, and come to think of it... they shipped in a padded mailer even though I paid for BOXED shipping. Grrr....
