King of Fighters XII 29.99 USED PS3

Thanks for the post, OP.

Unfortunately, this is still $10-$15 too expensive, especially when you consider how cheap the last few PS2 versions will.

Online play is a moot point if nobody plays the game...

uh...IIRC only KOF 11 was budget priced. the 2002/2003 doublepack and KOF 2006 were like $30-40 in retail.

Maybe he was thinking of the last few SNK releases rather than just KOF, such as the fatal fury archives 1 and 2, art of fighting anthology, samurai showdown anthology, world heroes anthology, neo geo battle coliseum, and kof XI. All of these were budget priced at release.

KoF XII will surely hit $10-15 once XIII comes out. Just wait it out as the game is not something that isn't worth $30. If anything, go pick up SFIV since it's the same price MSRP.

Why would anyone buy SFIV when Super SFIV is coming out in a few months?

Because SFIV is still worth it at $30 MSRP which is still a much better deal than KoFXII at $30? If someone needs a fix for fighters, you can't go wrong with SFIV.

Even the last few KOF releases were budget-priced: KOF Orochi Saga was $15 for PS2, PSP, and Wii, and KOF 98 Ultimate Match was $20 on PS2. The upcoming 2002 UM will also likely be budget-priced.
